Think its fine if the full backs come infield if the wingers stay wide (like City) but our wingers and full backs come inside so its just incredibly crowded and kills every attack
Clarke spoke positively about how important that relationship with the fullback is last year. He always knew that Cirkin would be breaking his neck to overlap, whilst Alese would offer him a pass back if needed. He’d know what they were gonna do and where they’d be
I’m struggling to come up with a good performance tonight. From any of them. So rare that. Perhaps Patterson for keeping us in the first half
It doesn't seem like rocket science. If the winger likes to cut inside and the full back overlaps then you have 2 potential lines of attack. That's twice as hard to defend as the same angle every time.
Really poor tonight. There is a theme recently of being all huff and puff but not really looking like scoring!
Extremely frustrating watching this. I know we can play so much better. We are so easy to defend against!
Poor once again from Tone. On course for 5 defeats out of 8 with very favourable games in that mix too. Will say again, if he went tomorrow , the club. Would be no worse off. Should have been ruthless after Luton. Still think he goes in Jan or just before
