    ... who would you like?

Perhaps get Eastleigh up here so we can have a minute's applause for Donald, Wrexham so it's guaranteed to be on TV or perhaps a big allocation at a northern away game like Bolton. ...

... the last thing we need is Yeovil away or some meaningless PL team like Bournemouth.

The new Spurs ground might be a good day out though.

Cambridge United away for purely selfish reasons (I.e. its 20 minutes away and would be a new ground for me)

Am torn on the cup. We need to focus on the league really, but a good cup run is always fun. Be nice to get a non-league team at home, then someone like Arsenal/Spurs away so I can take my lad to a London game.

Probably end up getting Portsmouth away just to piss me off.

At least it'd be a derby (for them)

I'd swap a Wembley trip, in the final, for promotion in a heartbeat.

Hmm. Depends if we win really. Been to Wembley 3 times supporting Sunderland. The last time (the best one, obvs) was the only win.
It's a ****ing horrific journey back when you've lost

Might be boring but I always want to lowest ranked team at home. Comfortable win and in the hat for the next round

think it would be nice to maybe try our luck against a prem side maybe one of the ones near the bottom of the league like Sheff Utd or Luton

i think that would be seen as a lose lose situation really we win and so what everyone beats them, we lose and we are million miles away from prem if ya know what I mean.

I get that but it would also be a good measure of where we are and where we need to be. We can all talk about young kids learning the game and the great football we play but would be nice to see some of the grit that is also required to come through a tricky tie. If I have any concerns about our team it is probably this point 'Do we have a soft underbelly' I think a difficult cup game where sleeves may need rolling up more than skill and speed may give these youngsters more confidence than an easy victory or even a hard fought battle against a lower league opposition, I feel win lose or draw they need to be in a battle with somebody so they realise they can battle it out preferably against opposition who believe or have been told they are better hence why I suggested Luton

Mags at home. It'd be a great day. It's no lose for us,we're not expected to get a result, and all the pressure would be on them.Give our young players a real taste of what the PL is all about. We'd probably lose,no disgrace in that, and then we can concentrate on the league. However,if we win....OAU is the phrase I do believe!:1980_boogie_down:

Much rather that than give someone else a giant-killing opportunity or play a ****e team like Sheff U.and get beat....both a lose-lose.

i know it does not guarantee anything, but for once i would like some nice 'friendly' home ties...not sure if it is just my imagination but all i can remember are away ties with the odd home thrown in.

Away to Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal or Fulham in that order.
    - but we will probably end up with the winners of Reading v Eastleigh

Dont want the mags in any round. I think the gulf between their standard now and ours is huge.

I agree but I don't think they'd relish playing us at all ...

... they totally bottle their home game with 9 man Liverpool.

They're not the Barcelona they think they are.

Yes they think they are the best team in world football. Still think their standard of football is very good compared to recent years.
