Wow, just had a read, well as much has I could digest, without my brain switiching off. What a strange story. I don't really know what to make of it, here we clearly have a guy that has been stigmatised, and I'd suggest as was correctly identified, some of it was racism and other aspects due to his mere size. However, whether he was conscious at the time of how he was perceived (big and threatening) is hard to tell.

His strange behaviour brought about the fears, understandably, because it was hard to tell if he realised, his actions and attention were unwanted. Certainly reading that article, there was a case of him being a stalker, that on it's own scary enough, but it is obsession of mens physical appearance which went beyond the bounds of the norm, let alone imagination. This got him the most attention, combining that with my earlier points of his own size, colour of skin and physical appearance, including height of the man.

He must be what I can best describe as a psychologists orgasm, but worst nightmare to his victims! It makes me think some of this was catipulted by the ogling crowds and rumour mills - and never a clear suggestion on whether he has ever actually intended harm, beyond strange behaviour and people's own inbuilt fears. Fight or Flight.

It reminds me a bit of Bubba in the film 'Dark Night of the Scarecrow.'

By law, has he even committed a full on crime? He's never been convicted or caught actually feeling anyone up, just watching people.

His manslaughter case was thrown out... and there's no evidence he was chasing the lad. No one was even there, and the account is so detailed by the woman. All evidence the police could find indicated he wasn't "chasing" anyone.

One story on the documentary was also a claim he actually made a lad fireman carry and squat him. And then another bird claimed he stuck a gun through her letterbox, but when he was arrested there was no sign of a gun. He hadn't gotten that far away.

So unless he tossed it, and honestly, it would have been found at some point. That was an exaggeration, again.

Not to mention they're also all home grown merseysiders, and those folk chat enough **** that the Mersey ****ing stinks. He's a big scary black fella who gets sweaty off a bicept, it's likely 90% bollocks.

How the **** did i miss the start of this thread <laugh>
Gone a bit tame since then though :(

@joe. . Good luck with the op mate.
As a little booster for you a true story, i worked with a guy who had the same op in his mid 40s and was in the same ward as Coronation Streets "Jack Duckworth" at the same time for the same op. The guy i worked with had a similar op again when he was 73yo (about 10 years ago) and as far as i know is still happy and active today (stacking the bread shelves at his local Tesco).
It seems the medical profession are quite good at this kind of thing
