One who might have a squeak in the 14:40 at Hereford, a Class-4 Handicap Hurdle over an extended 3m1f on good (good-to-firm-in-places) ground, is the Beneficial gelding (Damsire: Old Vic), Sammylou. The drop-down in weights puts him on an attractive-looking mark? Conditions will suit. Wearing tongue-strap. Conditional, Nick Slatter (5), rides for the David Killanena/Graeme McPherson yard.

15/2 (Wm.Hill) best price at time of writing. E/W best option.

Question for the forum, which jockey claiming weight over jumps has ridden the most winners since the 1st September 2023?

Charlotte Jones? Has a prolific recent strike rate but maybe not getting enough rides to be the correct answer.

She is the one showing the most impressive figures with 7 wins from 18 runners, but someone is out ahead with 10 winners.

In the ATR results section today for Chantilly (11:33), they have the trainer down as "Jesus", yep, just "Jesus". The horse could hardly lose?

(Actually, on checking further, the trainer is S. Jesus. What the 'S' stands for, don't know)

Thank you, Nass, did I really get it as I'm generally useless at quizzes. By the way, I am no longer 'on fire', it has sizzled-out after my woeful selection at Hereford today! :emoticon-0101-sadsm Still, press-on, there's always tomorrow!
