A year late I know, but I recently went to a Turkish barbers, guys cutting my hair and all of a sudden he whips out this metal stick thats on fire. Starts sticking it in my ears and ****, I lowkey panicked at first, till i realised he was burning the hairs on and in my ears....a bit extra, but overall a pretty good service. Just wish he'd given me some ****ing warning like.
Most Turkish barbers are untrained and ****. It’s all gimmicky. Very few of them can blend in and cut hair properly.
Been going to them for years - tend to go when I've not shaved for a few days too ... cutthroat razor shave, hot towels and haircut and a Turkish coffee ... they even throw in arm and shoulder massage and that finger pull stuff, which always freaks me out a bit ... they also do eyebrow and nostril hair
Are you sure you’re going to the barbershop and not the Turkish bath house….was always told if you want your finger pulled go to the bath house for some action
Yeh man that gets all the newbies, me included Cant beat a turkish hairxut, fuking lovely. Bout 300yds from Liverpool Street station just before you turn off for hoxton/Shoreditch theres a traditional turk barbers there that i usually hit just before xmas every year. Great place, beer whike you wait, hot mint towel, face and shoulder massage, flaming ear flicks, eyebrows the lot. £25
Last pic is the celery tops, carrots, dried oregano and a pinch of garam masala. Chicken legs are now in the oven for 50 minutes.
