I’m gonna take a punt on harpers Brook in the pp gold cup . If the tongue tie has the desired affect he’s carrying a feather weight in the mud

Burdett Road should be a non-runner after all the rain that has fallen.

In the Paddy Power Gold Cup Chase (14:20) at Cheltenham, a Class-1 Handicap Chase over an extended 2m4f on soft ground, the Fame And Glory gelding and probable favourite, Stage Star, is the choice. There are many fine chasers with a shout in this event, so it will be a question of fitness/readiness too. Harry Cobden rides for the Paul Nicholls stable.

5/1 (BetMGM/BetUK) best price at time of writing. E/W probably best option.

Have a succesful day folks, if you have a go, and good luck to Stick and Nassau at Uttoxeter too. :emoticon-0167-beer:

Wonderful Burdett Road despite the ground that was supposed to be against him. Very happy with my 20/1 for the Triumph.

Yes, I decided to back him a couple of weeks ago when he won very easily at Huntingdon and after Harry Cobden's comments that he was definitely a horse for Triumph.

A nice staying-on effort by Rock Danse to finish 2nd. Initial thoughts would be: Tired in the ground? Breathing (did jockey say he made a noise)? Up in trip? Or looking for a nice opening mark ;)

Horrible start at Cheltenham. The chances of Grandads Cottage are lost there. Unbelievable.

Wow, just watched a video replay of Burdett Road's win. Couldn't be more impressive, looks a red-hot entry for the Triumph. A big well-done for noticing his talent beforehand, and having a nice ante-post bet on him. The very best of luck with the wager! <applause>

(Hope Harry doesn't think he's done enough for the day. Need him to give a top performance on Stage Star later!) <laugh>

Thank you very much, we'll have to wait and see what Mullins and Elliott have in store.

Regarding burdett road, I think it was Matt Chapman or Mick Fitz on the atr season preview who put it up at 33/1. Electric run today

It took a lot of courage to back him up without seeing him jump a hurdle in public.

Very nice from Bob Olinger there - very gutsy. Might he make up to a Stayers Hurdle horse?
