... and not just pronouncing his name, he can't just keep bringing him off the bench. I think Jobe will develop into quite a player and start more than half of our games this season but starting him every time would be too much for a lad of his age. There's also Aouchiche who is like a coiled spring and so dynamic he'll cause trouble to most teams. His first instinct when he receives the ball is to attack, same when he passes/crosses the ball or sees a space to run in. (*What I said in September still stands, he'll be the next one we start worrying about losing.) I'll be very surprised if he doesn't start in the Plymouth game or, at least, Huddersfield. Jobe has the height advantage but isn't great in the air so wouldn't be particularly missed at set pieces. I personally believe Mowbray has been cautious, so far, but will start to rotate more as the season goes on. Mayenda will start a game soon and our full backs will be fighting for places, what happens when Evans is fit. It's amazing what's happening to our club imo, just can't wait for the next game to come. *'Aouchiche is clearly here to use the club as a stepping stone to the PL ... ... hopefully with us but it's a win win situation, he's a £5m player already imo.'
I'm amazed he hasn't been involved more mate. He has looked a serious threat to the opposition every time he's got on the park. He's a central bag of tricks to add to the two wide one's we currently have. Defences wouldn't know who to mark. It would be doing Jobe a favour to leave him out of the starting line up now and again. The last thing we want is for him to burn out. There was an interview a couple of weeks with Dan Neil, when he talked about burnout and related his previous situation to that of Jobe's. Do him a favour Tony, give him a break.
Jobe could definitely do with a break, he's away with England again now so it's been pretty relentless for him really. Adil looks ready to start and have a big impact on games, he is always looking to receive the ball and play forward. Was impressed with Mayenda when he came on, looks like Rusyn and him will be pushing each other for the central spot.
When everyone's fit and back from International duty we'll have a ridiculously good bench. We all have our favourites but there's only eleven starting places available, ten when you remove Patterson, nine when you remove Clarke, etc etc etc ... ... as it gets to the point when the likes of Cirkin, Hume, Rusyn, etc, can't expect a start we know we have a team. And then there's Rigg
There will have to be be one or two left out of the matchday squad entirely, which is quite something tbh. Excited to see what happens in January
Yep this is what I just found 9am, Monday 13th November Midfielder Jacob Wright of Manchester City has been called into the MU19s squad for their games with Romania, Japan and Mexico in Spain. Ezra Carrington (Manchester City) and Jobe Bellingham (Sunderland) have both withdrawn from the squad.
It's mad to think of the options available when everyone is fit and how they fit into a starting 11 and bench. At left back have Cirkin, Huggins and Alese Right back Hume, Huggins, 09 Centre back Ballard, 09, Seelt, Triantis, Alese, Hume and Cirkin can all cover there all well. Centre Mid Neil, Ekwah, Jobe, Rigg, Evans. Hume, Seelt and Adil could also do a job there imo Attacking Mid - Adil, Jobe, Pritchard, Dack, Rigg. Ba can also cover there Right wing Roberts, Ba Left wing Clarke, Jewi, Rusyn Forwards, Rusyn, Mayander, Hemir, Burstow And that's before we start digging into the u21's. Going to be some disappointed players left out the team and squad when they are all fit
Aouchiche is the player that I’m more excited about than any of the others, Jobe included. The kid looks like he will become a superb player.
TM just needs to find the eleven who can bring home the bacon. Actually it’s 16 not 11 as our subs are going to play a massive part as we move into a really busy end of year
In a fortnight I believe we'll only have 2 long term injuries left aas the rest will be ready to train hard by Dec Evans and Embo Best medical position we've been in for bloody ages. Unless I'm mistaken
Certain footballers stand out straight away, and he’s one of them, just looks a very, very good footballer with brilliant awareness and nouse
He has a ruthless streak and will play at a high level, he has no self doubt and that's frightening for the opposition. He reminds me of when I worked on the doors and various people would threaten you which you'd laugh off ... ... then someone would appear who made you take a step back and think f**k
