SRL What a player. We were so lucky to have him.

He should have played at a much higher level. Outstanding talent. No one other than us saints fans realise just how good he actually was. Top top player

 

SRL could also pop the ball to a player's feet wherever the player was going to be a few seconds later.

The best game I can recall for this is England Moldova where he set up Danny Welbeck's two goals with inch-perfect passes (two minutes in if you don't mind missing Rykye's goal):

He also had the eye for a great pass and to bring other players in. He wasn’t just a goal scorer

 

Got to love Charly.
Gives his track suit top to the kid walking out with him, then gives his shirt to another kid at the end.

 

He was also a really positive influence in the dressing room.

I met roki Lambert at a Toby's carvery a few years ago, a genuinely top bloke.

 

Rickie is in my top 5 favourite Saints of all time. Apart from being a terrific player, he was just an absolute top bloke.

 

I’m sure he’s a lovely chap. Bit of a shame he’s less Rickie, more Reiki these days though…

A good part of SRL is that his song was totally unique and it encompasses two Saints legends in it. Oh and it came true.

Strange…last season I welcomed international breaks because we couldn’t lose another match….now annoyed that our winning streak is being interrupted

 

Breaks are good. We need a short break from winning otherwise it will get monotonous. Better have a two week break from winning by not losing.

 

Better just go the rest of the season unbeaten
