No thanks! Patel, Braverman and Coffey all around the cauldron stirring up evil. There is no acceptable face of conservatism.
^ that isn't a very nice post, and a little OTT. Shouldn't really be wishing anyone dead, no matter how much of a nasty cow she was. I said to Loading I would try to be nicer and less aggressive in my posts on this Thread, so I've deleted my initial draft response after waiting 10 mins and settled with the above.
I'm not certain that's entirely accurate. A generation of young upper-class boys were also slaughtered in the First World War, as junior officers (drawn disproportionately from.'good' schools) suffered truly catastrophic casualty rates. Vin
Interesting move from Rishi to bring Call me Dave back to front line politics following 7 years in the shadows. Not sure does anything other than highlight the complete lack of talent within the Tory ranks. Or maybe it shows there at literally none left willing to associate with the complete mess that is the current cabinet. Either way this will no doubt bring on the next chapter in the ongoing Tory civil war. The right wing factions will no doubt be backing Bravermans bid to be the next leader, which one can only imagine will be as successful as the IDS regime when they last lurched that far from the centre.
On the one hand its clever because it will be a distraction in the midst of a **** week for the Tories. On the other hand Cameron is as popular as a bucket of cold sick to most of the country, he could bolster them a bit in the 'blue wall' though, but I think (hope) the impact will be negligible.
I came across a war memorial in a street of terraced houses in Bethnal Green, East London, when I was down that way for a job interview. Dozens if not hundreds of names of men who died in the 14-18 war, probably around fifty from WWII. As I was looking at it, a chap came up to talk to me, who turned out to be responsible for maintaining the memorial. He explained to me that those weren't the names of all the fallen from Bethnal Green - these men all came from that one street.
There’s a song by Mike Harding that deals with the tragedy of the Pals Battalions, boys who grew up together, went off to war together, and died together. His song is about Accrington but it’s true of so many places around the country:
Bit rich coming from someone who seems to be in favour of genocide. Lucky I don’t give a **** about your opinions.
As I understand it he is no longer an MP and cannot be questioned or speak in the House of Commons, just the Lords, so what’s the point. So we now have an unelected Prime Minister and an unelected Foreign Secretary. Democracy at it’s finest.
How ****ing good are these lyrics? Sup up your beer and collect your ***s There's a row going on down near slough Get out your mat and pray to the west I'll get out mine and pray for myself Thought you were smart when you took them on But you didn't take a peep in their artillery room All that rugby puts hairs on your chest What chance have you got against a tie and a crest? Hello-hooray, what a nice day, for the Eton rifles, Eton rifles Hello-hooray, I hope rain stops play, with the Eton rifles, Eton rifles Thought you were clever when you lit the fuse Tore down the house of commons in your brand new shoes Compose a revolutionary symphony Then went to bed with a charming young thing Hello-hooray, cheers then mate, its the Eton rifles, Eton rifles Hello-hooray, an extremist scrape, with the Eton rifles, Eton rifles What a catalyst you turned out to be Loaded the guns then you run off home for your tea Left me standing, like a guilty schoolboy What a catalyst you turned out to be Loaded the guns then you run off home for your tea Left me standing, like a naughty schoolboy We came out of it naturally the worst Beaten and bloody and I was sick down my shirt We were no match for their untamed wit Though some of the lads said they'll be back next week Hello-hooray, there's a price to pay, to the Eton rifles, Eton rifles Hello-hooray, I'd prefer the plague, to the Eton rifles, Eton rifles Hello-hooray, there's a price to pay, to the Eton rifles, Eton rifles Hello-hooray, I'd prefer the plague, to the Eton rifles, Eton rifles Eton rifles, Eton rifles Eton rifles, Eton rifles
Absolutely no need for this attitude or post. I feel this is a very unfair thing to post, and potentially libellous. Luckily you don’t give a **** about my opinions either, but I don’t understand why you would take this attitude, and suggest this - absolutely despicable. Really hoping Joey is a solicitor
Those on the left always claim to be noble and virtuous, but when push comes to shove left wing ideology is deeply rooted in narcissism and a sense of “I know better than everyone else”.
