How long should we not expect one though, we have waited 53 years to be fair.

I know i knew i had to get it in as soon as i mentioned school sports day.
Two years later and i've lost a bit of speed.
Can't really put a time limit on it.
Think of it like Christmas.
What I'd like is a season long corporate box at NUFC for 12 people so I can go to any game I like with mates / family.
What I actually 'expect' for Christmas is a pair of socks and a satsuma.
I don't see a time limit on that changing, unless someone decides to surprise me.
But with us getting good, would it be fair to expect a trophy within say..10 years? I think so.
If you want, sure, but if you expect then you have more chance of being disappointed.

It was the first reasonable post you've made.
But it is the aim of the game, to win things.
As well as Howe is doing, he will know as well as anyone we need a pot, and HE needs it aswell, because if he doesn't win one within say 3-4 years, he won't be here.
That's the brutal truth i think.
Probably, yeah. That will come down to what the owners want and expect.
I mean Staveley is on record saying we are going to win everything, and she said league within 5-10 years at start of takeover, so i think it's fair to say they would expect a league cup or FA Cup well before then.
The likes of Wigan and Birmingham have done it afterall being well worse than what we are.
I hope we do.
I really want it.
Having aims and ambitions is good. I just know from life experience not to expect too much, then you won't be let down or disappointed.
We will probably keep losing in finals, and not win the league by a point to Man City etc, we all know how it goes by now.
