Good Morning. It's Thursday 9th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Leeds would let Gnonto leave 'for the right price' Unnamed Elland Road sources have intimated that they are willing to let Wilfred Gnonto leave in January, if the price is right, according to Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke. After a fairy-tale start, the explosive winger, who turned twenty on November 5th has started to fizzle out. With no resolution in sight, Leeds could be forced to concede defeat, and consider offers, north of £20m. Leeds signed the plucky Italian from FC Zurich on transfer deadline day (Summer) last year for £3.8m, so any deal around the £20m mark represents fantastic business. However, it's so seldom that the Whites profit from their transfer activity, that when they do, they need to 'milk it for all it's worth'. What's the going rate for Italian Internationals with their full careers ahead of them? Additionally, Leeds would have to pay former club FC Zurich a huge sell on fee. The Breakfast Debate caught up with former Swiss International, now FC Zurich journalist Kay Voser. He admitted that 'the sell on clause is extraordinary high'. please log in to view this image Aaronson keen not to sever ties with Leeds Leeds turncoat, now Union Berlin reject Brenden Aaronson, has not ruled an Elland Road return next season. The 23yo midfielder, whose main contribution involves falling over, is out of favour with the Bundesliga strugglers. After five straight defeats, and a point separating them from bottom spot, the lightweight American is keen not to sever ties. In a recent attempt to build bridges, Arronson commented that he loves Leeds, but it was tough how the season ended, and Union Berlin came along and made him feel wanted. Now that his acclaim has dropped quicker than a Hamas popularity contest, he suddenly wants to return to the fold. "As soon as the season was over, Union came in, probably three days after (Leeds) being relegated. Right away, they wanted me. And as a player, feeling wanted is probably the biggest thing in where you wanna go. “That’s another reason why I went to Leeds — they wanted me really bad. From that January when Marcelo [Bielsa] was there, to when Jesse came, they stayed in contact. For sure, it’s possible [going back to Leeds]. “It’s not done and dusted or anything like that. I love the club. I love the guys that I was there with, the connections I made. It was just tough the way it ended. “I felt like this was the best decision that I could make — playing in the Bundesliga and playing in the Champions League — to help my career and get me better. So that’s why I made the decision.” please log in to view this image
Morning all. Busy couple of days here as off on annual pilgrimage to Glasgow for the weekend. Always fantastic craic with a bunch of mates so you'll be glad to know Ill likely be missing in action for a couple of days
Morning all, Aaronson is going to have to have a massive upturn in form if he wants any chance of playing for Leeds again. He needs to improve just to get in the team but would need to be amazing to get the fans back onside.
Gnoto, get rid. Think we’ve overrated him personally and doesn’t look arsed. Make sure we get a loan winger in as a replacement if he is to go though but happy with Summerville and James as starters. Could we see Anthony recalled as well? Good player to have in the squad but reckon they might want him back. Aaronson left the sinking ship, get rid. Wouldn’t even get into our side now.
Anthony was part of the deal that sent Sinisterra on loan. If Anthony is recalled, do we get Sinisterra back?
Talking of loan recalls then the main one we should be worried about is Rodon. Tottenham had one centre half sent off plus the other one did his hamstring on Monday night. So a 3 match ban for one with a potential lengthy absence for the other and this is their first choice pairing we're talking about.
Hope Eire doesn’t have the same mates as one of our members or he may turn up in Glasgow to find out they all flew to Lithuania
Afternoon all I can't see us getting any big offers for Gnonto and Aaronson isn't good enough for this team
Im safe Doc. This is same bunch of lads who have done this pilgrimage for last 22 years. Covid years being exception
Fabulous person is our Chris. Can't begin to count the number of times ive watched his funny gaffs on YouTube. Hilarious
