I'd like to say we played great, but Spurs threw that game away with their ill-discipline. Yes we had a couple of goals ruled out, but they really shot themselves in the foot. Was actually hilarious! Jackson grabbed a pretty mundane hattrick but I guess you can only beat whats put in front of you. Shame he cant play against 9 men every week
Yea spurs defo threw that away rather than we won but you can only play the game in from if you. Hopefully a boost for the next few games!
No idea why Spurs are getting credit for giving it a go, should be getting slaughtered for setting up like that with 9. Was lucky it wasn’t City or Arsenal cause they’d have had 10+. Despite winning 4-1 the level of refereeing was once again absolutely dreadful. The two players that got sent off shouldn’t have even lasted that long and they even passed VAR ffs. Some of the straight forward decisions take so long to decide too. That Dier offside (wonderful finish mind) but that needs one look and be done with it. When did it get this bad? I thought aside from the first 15-20 minutes we were pretty good 11 aside and 11 vs 10 but once it got to 11 vs 9 you could see our inexperience, yikes. Long way to go but nothing better than winning away at Spurs no matter how bad we are.
I give them credit for giving it a go, but yeah, Ange ****ed up keeping the defensive line that high, especially when they lack pace at the back. Like I said on the prem board, our attackers are clueless when trying to break through lines of defence, but in terms of running off the shoulder and utilising pace....Ange played right in to our hands. For all their faults, Sterling, Jackson and co, dont lack for pace.
Pretty well summed up by all. I was pissed off that the game degenerated to a farce with VAR and send offs plus 2 key injuries to Spurs.Would loved to have seen a full match and get some kind of clue as to how we are really going. I think we did learn that we are simply hopeless at breaking down teams, and need someone who has a proper football brain. Fancy footwork and pure speed are no enough without good decisions, and we kept making bad ones for too long. Still a win is a win. Can't work out why Poch keeps playing Colwill at left back, he's a CD who CAN set up forward play for his midfield, which we lack as a Team. Good to see Reece James back , not fit yet but did pretty well.
