Not trying to be funny mate, but credit for what? You didn't play that well and neither did we. If we're basing it on the balance of play, a draw would have been a fair outcome. One contentious moment decided the game for you in a match that was starved of quality otherwise.
Of course, you did defend well, but we weren't exactly testing your defence either. While part of that is down to how you were set up, there was also a lack of quality in our front line who didn't do enough to make them work for the full 90 minutes.
I don't think it was a high quality game of football but it was an interesting game to watch with 2 teams battling for the points. As said I think our defence played very well and not enough credit is being given to the defence for how they played by the media and the crying whinging Arsenal fans. Also think Captain Black's amateur dramatics has diverted some attention away from Havertz's potential leg breaker which should have been a red. Do agree Bruno should have gone for his elbow to the head. His was petulant Havertz's was intended and cynical. Also, for me, ours was a perfectly good goal. 1 ball in 2. No foul, the defender was under some pressure and should have been able to clear it. If that's a foul no one can jump up to compete for a header. 3 not offside. If any disagree then fall back is no clear and obvious error (for a change) by the referee as demonstrated by the VAR decision and how long it took for them to make that decision.
Well, you could give credit for that. Also what did you think of Havertz' tackle. Leaping in. Off the ground. Studs showing. Out of control. Reckless. Endangering an opponent. Red or yellow?
There's no 3d mapping outside of the box right? so this is just a reconstruction. Therefore not accurate. Aside from the ball being out of play. Allowing that goal was embarrassing. Ok - ball might not have been out but it’s a clear push on Gabriel & Joelinton handles the ball before you can argue whether Gordon is offside. So 2-3 nailed on reasons to disallow it.
Arsenal are such an unserious club. Their brains are addled because Spurs have now overtaken them. Even if you take the goal away, the best they'd get is a draw. They were terrible against a side where half the players nearly relegated the club not so long ago. Another trophyless season for the gooners!
Wah wah wah wahhhhhhhh Was the alleged handball accidental or deliberate If it was accidental then the game plays on, Gordon scored not Jolinton If it was deliberate handball, I'm sure VAR would have looked at it as they looked at everything else
It doesn't suit your inconclusive opinion basically. The number of reasons is irrelevant. Is it possible all 3 were not reasons to disallow it ? The answer is yes.
Why would they? Everyweek we are complaining that VAR has not solved any of the previous issues. Soo far its just slowed the game down. We're still getting individuals making subjective calls and showing bias. If they are going to use it I think we need to be able to hear the communication between refs & assistants. Things like offsides can be conclusively proved with technology. (the same we we see in Tennis or NFL)
Basically because Klipperty cried like a baby VAR has to find a clear reason to overrule the refs decision. They couldn't, read the papers on Monday, it's a goal. Discussion over.
