Hoping for a great result tonight so that we can show we can demonstrate we are a serious challenger for auto’s

Last week everyone was raving about Georginio Rutter. Phil Hay says he’s been outstanding in every game this season. FARKE says he’s unplayable and then tongue in cheek mentioned if Real Madrid offer £150m we would have to think about letting him go. So the question is, how long can we we keep him, would he want to stay and help get us promoted? I have a feeling we may get an offer we can’t refuse either in January or at the end of the season.

We have a bunch of players who are wanted by other clubs and in fairness some we could cash in on without it effecting our team. Gnonto, Summerville both wanted and I believe we can do without one of them and make a huge profit. Meslier is also wanted so cash in on him as we have plenty of cover. Poveda, Gelhardt, Greenwood, Shackelton, Hjelde, Cresswell, Bate can all provide cash. Patrick Bamford I believe doesn’t have a future at Leeds either. With at least 2 Prem players coming into the club in January……..

Australia has decided that hosting the 2034 World Cup doesn’t make economic sense so has pulled the plug. Saudi Arabia were the only country to offer to do it so has now been confirmed. This money making, laundering, corrupt, sports washing ponzi scheme is a joke. Just look at what’s happening in 2026 with USA, Mexico and Canada doing it and then in 2030 Morocco, Portugal and Spain doing it. The Saudi Crown Prince this week said that if Sportswashing added 2% to my GDP well we will carry on doing it. Saudi Arabia already control world golf, are taking over F1, boxing and now going for football too. They sponsored the main African league, most of the Asia Pacific leagues and even have a deal with La Liga in Spain. They have this summer signed 200 of the worlds biggest names in football and all these superstars play to crowds of a few hundred or a couple of thousand at most, yet pick up massive salaries. They can do this because world energy prices due to conflicts in Ukraine and Middle East are climbing and the gulf states make so much money they don’t know what to do with it. Well done you bleeding heart liberal green fools. Their wealth is solely from fossil fuels and unlike the BBC and Sky they know the world will need more oil and gas for at least 50 years to come. Football governing bodies turn a blind eye to a lack of democracy, women’s rights, anti gay Gulf States because they want their money. Saudi Arabia executed 81 people in one day last year, but hey that’s ok………. Gays are thrown off tall buildings but we must look past that. Qatar own the French League in reality with PSG being their crown jewel. The disruption to the football calendar last season because of the World Cup in Qatar will now happen again when it’s held in Saudi Arabia, but hey we need their cash. Why do we need their cash, well simply because player salaries are unsustainable and football unlike any other business usually means running at a loss. Any club owner who tries to run a real business operation is ridiculed and lambasted for being a greedy prat for not buying better players. To demonstrate this look at Newcastle who made a profit every year under its former owner but his investment only meant bouncing between the Championship and the Premier League. Couldn’t compete in the prem due to the owner refusing to bankrupt the club. Sheff Utd and Burnley have the same problem. Newcastle now owned by the Saudi Royal family and now playing in the Champions League.

The question should be: let’s allow the so called big clubs to fook off into their own super league and allow the rest of us to compete on a level playing field and by the way, leave FIFA and UEFA

They haven’t signed 200 of the world’s biggest names. The only names I can think of are a 40 year old Ronaldo, Henderson that Liverpool no longer wanted and Mitrovich, decent player but hardly a stellar signing. They will never be bigger than the premier league no matter how much money they throw at it because no one in any other country cares about their clubs.

Well first half was a shocker for our feared front 4. Piroe miss, James and Piroe not in it and Summerville having a wrong choice night with nothing much getting to Rutter. Byram is really bad and will either get sent off or swapped for Firpo. Archie is also struggling at RB. Farke needs to do something or we end losing this

You watched a different game to me, great save from their single shot on target, apart from that they never looked like winning, we created so many threats, this is the team everyone is claiming are out of sight, they’re going to walk the league, we were head and shoulders better

2nd half was a tight defensive masterclass something not seen for ages. Attack looked better and we went after them Piroe unlucky not to score again but at least he looked at it in the 2nd half. Chuffed for Rutter as he deserved the goal, Summerville started choosing tight as well and James looked threatening so the front 4 perked up. Meslier saved it at the end but Rodon was huge, Ampadue and Kamara solid and creative. We have now beaten the top 2 and have shown ourselves as contenders. Chuffed

I’m surprised at that Doc. Are you sure your tv wasn’t upside down for first half

It did feel good today waking up at the start of the weekend, with 3 points in the bag against the runaway leaders, a clean sheet and knowing I can watch the results and cheer on those who are playing our rivals and worse case scenario, we can't drop any places

What are peoples views on Meslier? Myself I have mentioned not been bothered if we sell him, as last season he seemed to lose confidence and fall apart. This season under FARKE he has had a couple of mistakes where I think he’s been out of position and conceded or he’s conceded when he shouldn’t, but last night at the death after having not much to do for 90mins pulled off a great save that gave us all 3 points. Stick or twist.

    Luke Ayling ?

Can we even afford to be bringing him on anymore as when he's on the field we immediately start conceding big chances from his area of the pitch.

This is not having a go at Ayling but asking a serious question.

Ayling as usual done from a guy behind him and luckily Meslier pulled off the save. But very noticeable now that Ayling is behind Spence (when he’s fit) Byram, Shackelton and Archie. So as I have said before he should have been replaced a season ago and the same with Cooper who is behind Struijk now

Will Firpo play ahead of Byram I wonder

    He's ****e.

Great save last night at the death but he could relieve so much pressure if he came and commanded his area.

    Sell, sell, sell.

Happy to let Farke decide but I’m not bothered either way. I said a great save yesterday, but watching it a few times, I’d have have slated him had it gone in, you’d hope he would save those.

Farke said after the game Meslier had his first save to make after 90 minutes and he had to be switched on, he also commented that he had great footwork for the entire game.

If he plays Firpo he can switch Byram to RB till Spence is fit.
