I guess this topic is particularly sensitive at the moment. I've seen lots of folk get hot under the collar on here, myself included. I guess I hope we're all basically on the same page here. When it comes down to it we all want this madness to stop and for the psychopathic leaders to stop killing innocent people.
I’m all for bantz mate. Nothing should be off limits in my opinion. However…….I don’t find personal bantz funny, and abe seems to do it more often than anyone. It wasn’t that long ago that he was wishing Peej’s kids dead. The holocaust stuff earlier wasn’t a holocaust joke, it was directed at a Jewish lad whose family members may well have been victims. Abes behaviour has certainly been getting more and more erratic on here the last few months. This can sometimes point to problems in his personal life. FWIW I hope everything is ok. I do agree that a break from here will probably do him good.
I think you forget sometimes, you banned everyone from the Arsenal board, so there was only you left.
I was seeing the news where it said no ceasefire until the hostages are released, but somethings are not making sense to me... It's reported they have well over 200 hostages, I'm tempted to say nearer 250 hostages, that would take some logistics to keep that number of hostages alive, getting on for one month nearly now, since the 7th Oct. They need to drink, eat and some would require medication needs, but Gaza can barely survive as it is, with people claiming no water, no food or medical supplies and some aid only just getting through in the last week. So unless they are being held in another country, I can't see them having much longer to live, if not already dead, let alone unless you've got them locked up, you would require armed men to keep them held captive, who also need to eat and drink. Even if they are down tunnels with storage facilities, 250 is a lot of people to keep underground!
These tunnels run for 100’s of miles apparently. Keeping them down there won’t be a problem. Plenty of space. They could be anywhere though, the tunnels lead off to different buildings at various points. The Palestinians are struggling for food and water. Hamas won’t be. They’ll be well stocked up and will no doubt still have/had supply lines bringing them the basics. If Hamas were that bothered about the lack of food etc and it wasn’t getting through to them, they’d simply release some hostages and they’d be a ceasefire (of sorts) to restock up. They don’t seem to need that, though.
The Palestinians in Gaza could also just jump in the med and swim along to Egypt. If they jump in near the border, it should only be a quick swim and they’ll be safe. I’ve done a little drawing on the map to show how easy it’ll be and then they’ll be safe. So, go down from Khan Younis to the border. Jump in the water and swim around into Egypt. Job done.
Btw when I heard the news Netanyahu laid the precondition for hostages to be released before any pause or ceasefire, then two things were clear - firstly he knows full well that'll never happen so it means no pause in fighting. Secondly he's gambling on the hostages having to be kept alive, but it's a gamble that could backfire.
