Not surprised by the additional members to the coaching staff and thought this was likely after the rocky start under Russell Martin. I never saw Saints binning Martin after the Jones fiasco and think the board have done the wise thing and given him additional support to consolidate a play-off place. I feel automatic promotion is impossible even this early in the season, We appear to be winning matches whilst not always being the better team. I still feel we will continue to be erratic this season and the recent results have papered over some of the cracks. Still, in October we appear to have turned the ship around and are now moving in the right direction.
I am fascinated with Cameo, the site where you can get celebrities to say things for what seem like startlingly small amounts of money for their time given their wealth, and in particular I'm fascinated by how they value their time. Do you want 80s band Air Supply to wish you a happy birthday? One hundred and fifty United States dollars. https://www.cameo.com/airsupplymusic?aaQueryId=1e487a6ef4423b00404ab1a258f54456 Or for the same price, why not get Tommy Chong to congratulate your nephew on his Bar Mitzvah? https://www.cameo.com/tommychong?aaQueryId=d0fc87e06b9253346ed6622fd0b84ac2 Want to divorce your spouse, but can't find the right words? For $350, legendary actor Elliott Gould will sub in for you. https://www.cameo.com/elliottgould?aaQueryId=f76b69bb59643251b5bec0e1e657c7bd] But then there's Matt Le Tiss. His price? $35. https://www.cameo.com/mattletissier?aaQueryId=107ff5b8d5bde75afae9274191e2c6d1 That's less than half a Jason McAteer. Significantly less than Dean Windass, or Bruce Grobelaar, or Carlton Cole. Slightly more than Frederic Piquionne (who bills himself as a 'football legend'), mind, but still. What I'm trying to say is: for the love of god, up your price Matt, because otherwise some night I'm going to have too many drinks and try to pay $35 to get you to record a message about the dangers of believing everything you read on the Internet.
Saints v Plymouth changed to 6pm on Friday, December 29 - live on Sky: https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/festive-argyle-clash-to-be-shown-on-sky-sports
6pm? **** off Sky you absolute ****ers. I'll now have to finish work early, losing money in the process, to make kick off. Arseholes.
Atilla Braverman's article accusing the police of being woke lefties will get a good laugh down at the lodge.
I'm not defending anyone, but I suspect that Sky's logic is that many people take the entire time between Christmas and the New Year as leave, so 6:00 on a Friday night, between Christmas and the New Year, is OK for most.
