Ideally we don't want TH to go quite yet. Then we would miss all the fun of watching their season totally implode
Have you seen us play? It's FA to do with Rasmus, there hasn't been a striker born that would score in this team.
Not sure mate and i wouldn't bet on a change of manager making a big difference for more than a few months. Something is badly wrong and it's not the manager.
He's thrown a bit of cash about but just not making the right choices.I'm sure there are others involved in that process who should shoulder blame also.
Nothing to do with choice of players, the one's he has brought in have mostly been ok Last season with his players we looked on the up, most of the games were entertaining and it was looking like with a couple of new players in the summer we could put in a decent challenge in all competitions. What we are seeing now is mystifying and i woud like to know the reason for it We have had the same situation now with three different managers, good first season then fall off a cliff, it must be something common in the club regardless of manager or style.
Interest draw I know chelsea been poor but just going by name newcatsle v chelsea will knock out 1 of the 3 favourites. Port vale will prob love the fact they drew the second weakest team at home. Could make it to a semi. everton v Fulham is a toss up and we got West Ham who are hit and miss but at Anfield would fancy us to win. This should be a trophy we go and win now looking at who is left.
You're doing what we used to do; so used to watching dross that you see mediocrity as quality. Your best players wouldn't get in the top three teams, lucky to make the bench. Bruno is just toxic imo, you need him gone asap
Spent 400m on only got ok signings? Not a dig, but I think the recruitment has been really poor. Onana - poor so far but early days. But seems too erratic and wants to be a number 6 rather than concentrate on doing basics of GK. Plenty time to develop though. Malacia - meh average. Martinez - prob one success but even that is because he was written off as being too small. Don’t think looks anything special just a mid table defender. Antony - massively overpriced and horrible attitude. Total flop so far. Casemiro - surprised me and was great last year. But seems to have done a Fabinho and legs look gone in an open exposed game. Huge money and big contract on a guy real knew was going downhill. Mount - early days again. Seemed like a player didn’t need. Needed a solid midfield foundation but brought a replacement for Fernandes/Eriksen. Hojlund - looks a trier. Early days - obviously overpriced based on current ability but may come good. Eriksen - decent freebie last year but clearly no longer top 6 type player and certainly number as a CM. Evans - done better than expected which is fine for 40 year old who got relegated with Leicester but shouldn’t be playing. Not ETH fault that though. I think the most worrying thing though because anyone can buy players, is that none of the current players seem to have got any better with his coaching. AWB maybe improved a bit. Always been decent defender but still average on the ball. Lindeloff looks same. Maguire hard to tell as his confidence just shot. fernandes/rashford/martial/Sancho - none have got any better despite 18 months of coaching. Van de beek - can’t get anywhere. Only one that seems to have improved is mctomminy who he was actively trying to get rid off. Average to poor player recruitment. no improvement in the coaching of players and no real recognisable style - not trying to be solid in defence and counter / not trying to press and be fast breaking when win ball back. He may come good. But so far really think he’s been really poor. I think he got lucky that us chelsea spurs all had awful seasons last year which meant got into top 4 and almost did best to throw it away going into final 5 games. League cup win been the one positive and should have been something to push on fro but you got worse after winning it!
I think there are players there that are poor signings mate, together with some dubious attitudes. The difference between the feelgood factor at LFC and the an shambles at MU is chalk and cheese. Like the choice to make Fernandes captain.....now TH has the problem of taking it away from Fernandes,a messy business, and installing someone else worthy of the position
