We enjoy a prediction on this forum. As I've had a quiet morning at work, I thought I'd see how our predictions have stacked up this season following the recent Plymouth win. I've gone for league matches only, as we often just discuss changes to the first team in the League Cup games. I've slightly adopted the Super Six method of scoring for points. You get two points for a correct result (win, draw, or loss) and four points for an exact score prediction. It's also helped me out (Super Six has five points for a correct score, thought that might take the mick as it'd put me level with Spanish and Gaffer)! Big Al leads the way ahead of San Diego and the ever-optimistic Hampy (one of those cricket score predictions might come in). Stretchy's 'predict a defeat' method is helping us soar up the Championship table, but it's no use here (although if we ever hit a poor patch of form, he's well placed). Between us all, we've predicted 96 results and only got the exact score five times. Big Al, Spanish, and Gaffer are the only posters to have predicted a result for every league game.
I'm not bottom? How is this possible? Is Mike H that bad at predicting, or using my method of madness?
I am in exalted company, the one common characteristic we all share is never in our wildest dreams did we.think we would be in the top 2. Top 6 was my hope, realistic expectation top 10. But, we have many matches to play, and yes, it can all change.Just imagine being a Reading fan!
