Promising signs in parts - My thoughts on the Citeh game

I was talking about that with my friend today. Always seems to dive the wrong way. He should have saved Balotelli's penalty.

 

Completely disaggree with the Sammy and Raylor rating.

Sammy really played well considering what he was up against (people saying he wont make it? give him a break eh). He had some decent runs and he doubled up well with simmo when defending.

I've been a big fan a Raylor since he's stepped in, hes scored some really important/great goals and hasnt done a bad job at all in defence, but even himself today will admit he had a poor game, when i watched the game back on MOTD it just clarifies how bad he was in the 2 goals he gave away, i play CM in sunday league and even i know you dont wave your arms around when in the box trying to block a shot, and he should have just tried to get anything on the ball at all for the second goal instead of turning his back and therfore getting tanlged up. Like i say im a fan of him and i dont think he should be absolutely slated for today but you cant deny without his mistakes it could of been a different game/result.

On another day we could of got something from the game, but it wasnt our day.. they are the best in the league by a mile so far so its not as if we can be really disapointed by the result. Bring on Man u i say.

 

Check out the replays. I have. It was going to go over the bar. Even if it had dipped Krul had it covered.
2nd goal Raylor was off balance and tried to clear it away. It took a lucky deflection off MRs knee and dropped perfectly for him. ood finish all the same. 3rd goal. Never a pen in a month of Sundays.
With a little bit of luck we could have had a result. Up till half time Krul had one header to stop. (apart from the goals). They had one on target and one over the bar. We had 3 on target and two off. In 2nd we were doing very canny as well apart from possession.

 

I watched the game again last night on Match Choice or whatever it's called on Sky, the 3-1 definitely doesn't justify our performance. A Man City fan posting on this forum said we were the best opposition team that has played at the Etihad Stadium so far this season, from what I've seen, I would have to agree.
