Good Morning. It's Wednesday 1st November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Trio named in Championship team of the week Unsurprisingly, Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Daniel James were all named in the Championship Team of the Week, following their heroics against Huddersfield Town last weekend. What is interesting is that only four months ago, the club were ready and willing to listen for offers on the trio. Thankfully they ended up staying, and under the guidance of Daniel Farke, are playing some of the best football of their careers. please log in to view this image Everton launch fresh approach for Gnonto With two months until the transfer window reopens, Everton have once again been linked with a fresh approach for Wilfred Gnonto. The explosive Italian has not had the best of starts to his 23/24 campaign; firstly going on strike during the Summer, then breaking his ankle at Hull six weeks ago. He returned as a second half substitute in the 3-2 win at Carrow Road after the International break, but was disappointing when starting at Stoke, and did little to entertain the masses for the last half an hour against Huddersfield last weekend. Everton fanzine site Toffee's TV have suggested that Gnonto's drop in form could be linked with him wanting a move away from Elland Road, but insisted that talk of £30m was silly money! "I noticed the other night, a lot of chat about him (Gnonto) from Leeds Utd fans, saying he's not interested, and wants out." He's obviously a talented player, but some of the transfer fees being banded about during the Summer ended up being silly, £30m and stuff like that". please log in to view this image If Koeman takes football seriously – he should call Summerville up Voetbal International journalist Suleyman Özturk has told Dutch National Coach Ronald Koeman that if he takes football seriously, he will give Crysencio Summerville a Senior International call-up. The excitable football columnist labelled the Leeds star as one, if not the best player in the Championship, comparing him to Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma and Holland International and PSV star Noa Lang. “He is one of, if not the best player in the Championship,” “Clubs will come for him in January. Because they are looking for players who can make a difference. And he can. He is important with through passes, pulls two to three opponents with him and can play someone out.” “He has a Lang quality: give a **** to the whole world and give me the ball. That is very special to see. He can also simply turn free kicks into the intersection,” “He reminds me a bit of . He really is a complete left winger.” “The Championship is a playground for him,” “I think he is eligible for the Dutch team. You can bring him in in the last half hour, when the spaces become larger and you have to force something against Italy or France," “If Koeman takes football seriously, he will put him on the list.” please log in to view this image
Let them have him, i will drive him to Goodison myself, serves them both right if he goes, a marriage made in heaven or would it be hell. Good morning everyone. Bracing ourselves for the big storm Ciarán coming to the south coast soon.
Morning all Gnonto doesn’t look settled at the moment, he’s still a good player though so hopefully Farke will get his head into the right place Remember at the start of the season, when a few fans were getting angry at reports Summerville wanted out, it transpired that he actually wanted to stay and was turning approaches away. The media can be damaging, I don’t believe we were ever listening to offers for Rutter, Summerville or James
Gnonto hasn’t done much this season at all. He was also lacking in quality at the end of last season too. So since he broke into the first team when he was sensational he’s been missing. I can accept that young players are a bit in and out at times, but so far this season hes been missing in action except the odd occasion. So for me I would sell him for whatever we can get and have that as a massive positive in our FFFP data. Meslier can go too for me and that will also be a huge FFFP bonus for next season
Yes, we can make some decent profit off Gnonto, but in all honesty probably make an 80% loss elsewhere. This means we need to get a sensational price for him, not just a good price.
Given his indifferent form this season against poor opposition a lot of the time, I can't see any big hitters bothering with him so it's unlikely to be megabucks. Clubs of stature of Everton wont be stretching beyond 20m in my opinion. Id be more concerned what happens with the rats valuations when they begin to return or maybe they've a clause they can leave for free
On one hand I’m far from bothered about FFP should we get promoted, as I’d hope all the rats were sold. On the other, you fear how much some are now worth
That's the thing Ristac, we've still two or three instalments to pay on the rats. You'd hope to recoup enough to cover those instalments. Wonder could we get rental in to lay rat poison around Elland Road
Afternoon all, On a non footballing note I thought you might all appreciate an update on my krakow trip falling out shenanigans. Firstly me and my mate are back on good terms. Secondly, the trip was last weekend. Obviously I didn't go. On an hilarious note all that went came back with shiners or broken noses. They were set upon by a couple of lads before the polish bouncers pepper sprayed them to high heaven. My mate told me all this and I made sympathetic noises while laughing my tits off on the inside.
The rats are not really selling themselves are they. Aaronson isn’t doing it, but Wober is. Llorente is doing it but Kristensen isn’t and besides that Jose will be gone at the end of the season and any new manager will probably not want either of them. Sinisterra cant get a game in a poor team, Roca is wanted but by a skint club so we won’t get his full value, Harrison has scored one and got two assists but Everton fans say he’s a bit in and out
Isn't it refreshing that all we seem to be discussing this season is, the manager, players and the games themselves, no talk of the owners owners, either their tweets or desire to be in the press as much as possible.
Sell the little rat Gnonto and make profit on him. Sell Meslier for profit. He's not fit for purpose.
Byram, Rodon both fit as well as Summerville, we even have Emu’s mate back in full training now and he may even be down in Leicester with the team
Gnonto didn't look disinterested when celebrating with Summerville at the weekend to me. When he first signed I was up with the best of them thinking we had got bargain of the century but he was an unknown quantity making hay. Maybe he has been figured out a bit and is going to have to learn to adapt his game. In truth his price tag doesn't look such a bargain right now but then Rutter's doesn't look so overinflated. The lesson to me is it probably takes more than a couple of appearances to really judge a players value. Morning by the way
One thing's for sure, if we sell even the tea lady to Everton, we need the cash up front. With the amount of debt they're carrying, administration cannot be far off, so how much would we actually get for Gnonto? The first instalment of 50 quid? No-brainer for me. If we must deal with them, it has to be cash up front.,
Oddly enough Marcos, cast your mind back to just before he handed in his transfer request, he did a similar celebration and within a few days he wanted out. Can't remember which game it was. Personally I don't put much store in players actions
Nearly spat my tea, however thinking about it, theirs more truth in that sentence, than i first gave it credit for.
Genuine question. Has Gnonto engaged with the fans at all this season? He walked straight off the pitch on Saturday without acknowledgement of the fans.
