Great to see Wishing And Hoping start another season at the grand old age of 13. A very genuine front-runner who always wears his heart on his sleeve he is sure to give it a great shot today despite top weight. All my fingers and toes will be crossed for My Drogo in the Old Roan Chase - hopefully he can get a clean round in and come back safe and sound. It is a big ask to win this after such a long break but if they are aiming him at the Hennessy they might be very happy with 3rd or 4th today
For what its worth, Drogo is about 90% and they would be happy with a running on place, with a view then to the Paddy Power.
The Old Roan brings back nice memories of Monets Garden. Some top quality horses have ran in this though the years. Going through the race I'd be siding with Tommy's Oscar but it will a watching brief for me only. Was the race normally ran on a Saturday or am I getting this mixed up?
Afternoon all, Only one bet for me today 4.04 Win OSCARS MOONSHINE 5/2. Only one in the field with a recent run so fitness shouldn’t be a problem. Won this race in 2020 and won again over cd last week eased down with same jockey as today, I’m positive Olive can bring it home for daddy. Only slight concern would be the ground. Good luck
