    The jokes have started already.

They could at least keep it to every other line, like Friends does.

Not the biggest fan but Friends was something you could dip in and out of and was light hearted and entertaining. Chandler Bing was a big part of that. RIP. Too young.

The odd thing is, when I posted this thread, I called it "Matthew Perry", no mention of "Chandler. They you have put this up and he said when he dies it'll be Friends first, but Perhab went into more detail about his charity work than the show. The sad thing about it is, is the amount of stuff I've seen online where people have opened up with "I'm not surprised" when nothing is official yet.As a person he came across as a decent bloke with many deamons. As I said in the original post, I came up in the 90s (early 80s baby) so like it or not, Friends was a huge part of pop cutler and a big deal. Definitely a part of my life.

With him being in what I suppose will be classed as an iconic TV programme, has anyone seen any kind of statement from his co-stars?

TBH I've no time for people like him.

Loves selling his memoirs off the back of his disgraceful lifestyle which he conveniently blames entirely on a JetSki accident.

Despite pretending to be so sorry he actually, and deliberately imo, makes it sound ironically cool just as Gascoigne always does.

"Aye I was drinkin lurds of vodka at half time but came oot, scored a hat trick and won the world cup singlehanded ...

... but I'm really sorry about the drink and drugs like, it was all down to my parents, friends and wife."

Then, to make himself look repentant, never misses a chance to advertise his charity work and endless good deeds.

Perhaps I'm wrong about all this, doubt it though.

Admittedly I didn't know he had done so much for other addicts until I read this thread and I'm not 100% up on his life and how he was doing with his addictions but don't think it's called for to put him in same boat as Gazza.

If he used his fame, money and success to help other addicts he shouldn't be put in the same boat as Gazza imo!

The opioid epidemic over there is absolutely terrible. They turned decent people into junkies.

For cash of course. Purdue farma and so on have a lot to answer for, they won't answer for it though.

People like Perry deserve sympathy, they were prescribed a killer drug by a doctor they trusted.

I've sympathy for anyone who suffers from medical malpractice, including him.

I just don't believe he can blame everything on that especially the alcoholism, cocaine consumption and endless stays in rehab ...

... which he reckons has cost him $20million.

There are some amazing books/TV series out there about how pharmaceutical reps pressurised doctors to prescribe oxycodone, the non addictive pain killer, it's created a generation of addicts, nearly a million dead, and is now known as hillbilly heroin.

The sackler family are sitting on their billions while housewives, young sports players and even doctors themselves are basically a zombie for life.
