Yeah we're not far off at all tbf, the consistency needs to improve aswell like. As a side note, what do you think of Mowbray? I like him as a bloke and think he's done really well but lacks the killer instinct to get us promoted. Especially when the bloke lined up to replace him is flying high in Ligue 1. I just hope we haven't missed out on a real one just through sentiment.
Am I missing something here , were we not on a bad run as well losing three games on the trot even with a number of mitigating circumstances which includes a very poor record of performance of officials .
Yeah me too. Don't want to piss on anyone's chips but thought it would be an interesting topic especially after we've won so it gives more balance instead of coming across as bedwetting or knee jerk.
Missed the game as I'm stateside, but followed the score on twitter. Sounds like a dominant performance but still a bit loose at the back? Cracking goal from Dan Neail and sounds like Clarke was on fire. How did Rusyn look?
Crazy that if we had beaten Cardiff, then we’d be in third. 9 points behind 2nd though. Goes to show how up and down the division is and that there are not many really good teams.
Pretty much controlled the game from the start. Awful decision for their goal how an offside player clearly making a movement towards the ball is deemed as not interfering is beyond me, but the assistant on that side had a shocker! Mind Ekwah should make a tackle and seems to go with the wrong foot and half pull out! Gorgeous finish from Dan Clarke was beating players all day for fun Rusyn pressed from the first whistle ran everything down and to be fair looked exciting on the ball. Only really had one half opportunity and scuffed it! A lot more to come I would say!
I did mate, thank you. We dominated from the off and never thought we’d not win it. Despite looking a bit ponderous at times. intensity/moving the ball ( and players moving into space) quicker happened in parts today, and I think it will get a lot better as players get to understand each other. They’re very young still think Jobe needs a rest , he was off the boil today. Roberts needs to release it quicker… but he did push to the byline today, which was good to see Ekwah needs to track back and up his intensity. When he’s on it he’s a beast but he vanished too often today never perfect, but that’s footie. Enjoyed the view from the concourse.
I think Leicester will go up as champions but anything after that is up for grabs. I don't think we've really got going yet. Rusyn looks like he'll be a big player for us. Neil and Ekwah will build on their partnership. Clarke one of the best if not the best player in the league. We've got about a dozen players on top of that who have bags of potential.
I think Leicester and Ipswich have it sewn up. We are a fantastic side to watch but young and naive at times. But getting there. I'm happy with where we are from where we've been. Onwards and upwards.
I’ve just read Stoke’s match report and they played well today - Boro did have some injury problems (Hackney for one*). Didn’t realise they have beaten Leeds, us and Boro in the last week. * I tell a lie, Hackney was suspended due to a 5th yellow. He got booked for taking too long to leave the field when getting subbed.
Leicester do look convincing but after that it's an open field for me. I know Ipswich have a good lead but we've seen gaps like that disappear enough times.
Seen someone saying on twitter that Ballard is suspended for Swansea? Big blow if correct but also a big chance for Seelt
Just landed in San Francisco an hour ago so had no Internet on flight. Soon as I managed to get a signal in airport...well thats really made my holiday start with a bang.
