But it feels so much more secure than it did earlier in the season. I don’t know… feel like I am slowly getting back on the bus. Also, how good was Flynn Downes today???

Downes keeps going from strength to strength.

KWP immense as always - should we move him forward? Is he wasted at RB? he is so good going forwards

Bree was solid. Don’t remember a single attack coming down his side?

Good win, and good to score late again. If I`m being picky however, we made harder work of that than we maybe should have. And we could have worked the keeper a bit more.

Agree, good positioning and a couple of vital interceptions, think he looks good, can't drop him now

Pleased with the points but not so pleased that we didn’t push on in the second half and end the day with a positive GD.
Crazy how we go from being a team that performs well, when all square, to a team that plays lazily when ahead.
    Still, happy days.

First half total domination. Couldn't have asked more.

Second half, concede a sloppy goal (not RM's fault), and Birmingham put on 5 or 10 mins of pressure. But then we really just slowed the game down very well, and killed any threat Birmingham had. Deserved to win by two goals.

Some of our passing was absolutely quality. Yes, the creativity in the second half wasn't really there, but with better finishing that would have been made comfortable much earlier.

Anyone who was happy for Stuie Armstrong to leave in the summer, hang your heads in shame. Architect level in this division.

And, finally, Aribo was really bloody good when he came on!

Yes, you are not going to dominate for 90 minutes and Birmingham got a bit fortunate with their goal.

Really pleased we got our composure back and went on to command the game again

Think we're also starting to see our strength in depth. Birmingham put in a charge, but ran out of steam in the final 20 minutes. They looked like a side playing their third game of the week, and we didn't.

I have missed two games at St Mary’s this season, today and Leeds.

Starting to feel like the problem.

Good performance, would be nice if we could eliminate the traditional wobble but we are much better than we were (at the moment).

(Ref did help us out somewhat though…)

Maybe just maybe if we'd actually given him a chance last season we might have fared better.

Noticed Reading fans are really starting to feel the love for old Ruben, although quite why he decided that was a job worth taking on I have no idea, sometimes Managers don’t help themselves.

Some of the comments when we were 2-1 up were laughable.

About 8minutes of Brum pressure, absolutely dominated them here. We were put under alot of pressing pressure and played our way through it with ease today.

When the players just get more and more comfortable with it the passing forward will be alot quicker and more precise.

A few times players were trying to feed it through the eye of the needle today but the ball got intercepted.
For me I like to see them try this rather just play it safe all game.

Flynn is absolutely incredible in that 6, Seriously my MotM today, incredible composure and turning ability to break away from the press.

Let's keep the unbeaten run going. Up the saints.

Very pleased with that performance (albeit against an out of sorts team) and the way we regained our composure after being under immense pressure at the begining of the 2nd half. Played some lovely stuff. Very clinical in attack and passing the ball forward at the right times. THB really impressed me today. So comfortable on the ball and an aerial threat at set pieces. Bree too who looked quite comfortable at left back. Downes is starting to look like the good player we expected.

So that's 6 games unbeaten now? And MartinBall is not in full flow. Maybe we can kick on from here and mount a challenge. Let's see!
