Bruce’s trips are legendary and it’s compulsory to drink copious amounts of alcohol. To be fair, he has used the 24 hour clock in the message, which I misread as going into the pub near the ground 15 mins before kick off. A couple of hours drinking is much more acceptable!

It always surprises me how many players try and / or succeed at this. I’ve done it in Sunday league and nobody compared me to pele, they just called me lucky. It wasn’t luck, just an accurate pick of a football.

Agreed, it’s not too different to a reasonably accurate pass over the same distance, which happens all the time. Compare and contrast with most overhead kicks where the ball could really go absolutely anywhere but on the odd occasion it goes in looks amazing.
