Che Adams: groin strain. Flyn Downes: migraine. TBH: slight injury risk. Sulemana: felt something.

We’re 1/4 of the way through the season and have just had an international break. What are these players made out of? I can understand if we had reached February and picking up lots of little niggles, but at this stage of the season? And RM says we’re not playing with intensity.

I can see Birmingham sinking like a stone. Could Rooney be gone before Christmas? And then they can get Joey Barton in!!

Bit like Everton's? Certain other teams come to mind but they're far too toxic a subject on here!

I think Rooney may do better than it appears some think on here think. Managers respect by fans and players is crucial to success and I understand fans and players respected him at Derby, if so, and he can get Brums fans and players on side he could do well. Something our esteemed manager may envy as the season draws to a close.

Yeah its way too soon to predict. All it takes is one positive result to turn things round.

It is interesting to read your opening statement, MA, because I was reading an article on BBC Sport today and felt that the agenda for Rooney's tenure had already been written. The article suggested that the fans do not want him and that it was not looking good for him after a few games. I am not sure if Rooney is cut out for being a successful manager . It seems to me that the press have already made their mind up. Most football fans an probably guess how this will end up.

The comment about Joey Barton is ironic. Not sure why anyone would employ him given his reputation.

Not a fan of the early KOs when I'm coming from London, but after three weeks without a visit to SMS, I am very much looking forward to this one!

I hope SMS's roof isn't as leaky as our defence has been. Lots of rain around match time.

Matchday. Wonky Saint's 3rd win in a row? We'll see. Can't remember ever watching a game against Birmingham where we played well/was a good game!

Wayne Rooney, a manager quite bold,
His tactics, they seemed to have fold.
    Three-nil to the Saints,
    Causing quite some complaints,
His Birmingham side left in the cold.
