...made by burnsy during the match commentry today.
Regarding Jack Hobbs having recently moved his home/family from Leicester to Hull, and it being the second time he's done this for Nigel Pearson.
Not to dwell on the past but I dont think he'd be happy to do this a third time, and I reckon this will be the general attitude in the camp.
Fryatt sounded brilliant today, Mckenna sounded like he put in a very good shift.
What are the thoughts of Koren playing behind Fryatt? Did it work?

yes it worked without doubt. And the whole team was a credit. Only blots (albeit very very minor): i hate the phrase, but McKenna 'put in a massive shift' today, but his passing to Stewart and later Brady was woeful. McClean was nt at his best overall, but again who could fault his effort and dedication to the cause. It was blatently obvious today also today that towards the end when the team needed fresh legs, we didnt have options from the bench. More numbers required before Thursday I reckon. Well done to the whole team, management, and most of all, fantastic support! This is a support who were once again ripped off by a club pretending to bigger than they are. £6 to park and £28 to get in (£31 on the day)!!!

fryatt chased right back to the corner flag of the end we where defending to put a challenge in at one point, certainly no sign of him sulking about pearson, in fact i reckon he secretly hated him all along too <laugh>

Agreed. Fryatt looked a different player today and took his goal really well. Candidate for MoM today possibly. Koren also played like a young Barmby. As a side note it was good to put a face to an ID earlier. Nice to (sort of) meet you mate.

having said that, there were 1700 city fans in a wholly out-sung crowd of over 30000. I d say they are, without doubt playing fans' loyalties

Well if he's taking his family into consideration before moving backwards and forwards I'd guess any question of Pearson getting him back would be Hobbs son's choice.

By the sounds of the performance today the players seemed to be giving their all for Barmby, complementing the comments made by Rosenior. Not saying that they weren't playing for Nigel Pearson, but it didn't sound like there was anyone who had their thoughts elsewhere than playing for city now NP had gone. I think keeping this continuity with Barmby being the boss, be it temporary or permanent could be instrumental in keeping all this squad together.

I appreciated the humour if no one else does. on another point the back four under NP were often put under pressure because of the defensive way of playing, it sounds under NB, the midfield and up front are starting to get more of the ball, which takes pressure off the back four.

dont want to take the shine off today cos it was a breath of fresh air, however, every system has a counter system. its early. our adaptability will tell how good we are and I feel we need some extra bodies 'in-the-building' before Thursday to make sure that we are not a one trick pony! i am sure Nicky knows that

Yeah I agree Mussie. Im still buzzing from today, but Burnley next, a bogey team for us, and one we're capable of losing against. Christ, we ARE going to lose at some point in the near future most likely, its how we deal with that.

Still, you CAN shove your Nige Pearson up yer arse, and we ARE the Barmby Army!

Just remembered I should post this on at least one thread:

Fryatt's goals was pure class from back to front, quality goal. Quality football all the way defence, midfield, Rosenior, Fryatt, goal.

The only posters I actually know on here and all three of us pulled into the car park at exactly the same time, that was a proper Twilight Zone moment. <laugh>

I got double stiffed yesterday. Lambretta junior was not originally coming with me, so I had to pay on the gate for his ticket and as he had no ID on him, they made me pay £31 for an adult ticket. I tried to get him a pint, on the basis that they'd already determined he was over 18, but they wouldn't serve him. Knobheads.

Still, their team's ****e, so in the end, I was still the winner. <ok>

So you're moaning that you had to pay for an adult ticket, because (presumably) Lambo Minor is a minor, but then try to buy him a pint and when you can't you moan again?????? If he's a minor why are you trying to buy him a pint? If he isn't a minor why are you trying to get him in as one?
