You got me until Gordon went from a striker to an inside forward and then to an attacker, then Isak not being a striker.

So in the end, we agree we have two strikers.

Isak isn’t a winger. He’s a striker that can play in the wing.

So if we have 2 strikers, 2 attackers and 2 forwards then we have lots of cover, right?

Longstaff, Burn, Miggy, Lascelles are not of the level required. Wilson has lost his pace and needs multiple chances to score. We still have a lot of work to do to remain at this level. Top 6 and a run in any cup would be phenomenal. We are a few windows away from being true CL pedigree

Almiron being in that list is harsh.

Would be good if we can go into the market in Jan and pick up at least one top notch addition to keep momentum going. It's a problem if you sit on your squad especially at the stage we are at. We worked so hard to get Champs league football which has given us the platform so should look to capitalise and not just settle. Top 4 this year looks to be a stretch but we have to continue to be a strong contender for those spots.

I agree I think a cb a really top fwd would be ideal ... Wilson and isak are both unreliable I'm terms of availability.

Urgh the more you look at the group that was the pivotal game - beat Dortmund and all of a sudden your 5 points clear of 3rd place on 7 points. Even a draw would have left us 3 points ahead of Milan and Dortmund - you'd have needed a draw vs one of them in the last three games to basically be qualified for EL.

Yep and now we're ****ed basically unless we win in Dortmund which is unlikely based on what we saw yesterday

Newcastle is not on the same level as dortmund in terms of atmosphere.

Beat PSG who Beat Dortmund and Milan
Draw with Milan who lost to PSG and drew with Dortmund
Lost to Dortmund who were beat by PSG and drew with Milan
