The headline, at first glance, and once again, gives the impression that there is trouble at Hull City games. The second such headline in less than a week. This in a week when the club are offering kids for a quid and all sorts of deals to sell tickets for this Saturdays home game with PNE. This headline will not persuade one person to go to City for the first time on Saturday and take the kids. I don't think it's anything to do with Cooper 'pissing his pants' at the 'HDM snowflakes' because this has been going on for years at our local rag HQ, long before Cooper knew Hull had a football club. It appears to be company policy at the Mail.
i usually think some people over exagerate hdm and its stance but when i saw this headline earlier, i assumed it must have been a hull city fan arrested before the game it was a big headline near the top of the page then it turns out after reading halfway through, its a birmingham fan who was arrested for racist abuse in a prior game for them... the club should be having words.
Inspector Pantsdown said this showed the need for more policing and stewards at City games. A line of stewards down each aisleway and a police officer with a camera at the front of each section being a bare minimum. Unfortunately this may mean their vigorous pursuit of the bottle throwers may have to go on the back burner.
Couldn't agree more... other than saving legs for Saturday, taking Traore off which was working brilliantly (For me ) with Philo and replacing him with Doc shows (For me) a we have what we hold mentality. Tufan on and we [probably score more. When Lokilo came on we went up another level. He looked excellent. I like what Doc has given the club, BUT..
Then act. Make the club aware. Make the media outlet aware.Stop whinging about the same old **** to people who’ve heard it 100 times before & do something proactive. Cooper will be aware it’s been going on for years as he has also read it a 100 times before on here. He also knows how it affects the prissy HDM snowflakes on here … he witnesses it most weeks. I’m sure it’s a fishing exercise for clicks & bites. He’s winning. It’s had plenty more clicks since you bit. It only affects you because you let it affect you.
Credit to Twine here for Delap goal, Twine's run blocked off a pass wide, which left the defender only option to back pass, which Delap has anticipated.
was it delap who did a fantastic reverse ball to jaden but jaden was just offside that was fantastic play, his run and brilliant pass completely took it away from the defenders
This is the same story at every local paper. They are all now owned by the reach group that are owned by the mirror. Sensationalism and click bait is what they do, look at any local rag and you will find the same ****. It’s not something that is unique to Hull. Football is also an easy target for them, it has its reputation that it has earned over the years and despite it perhaps no longer being accurate is no less deserved. At the end of the day these kind of articles and headlines are what get people clicking on the site, and that’s how they survive getting paid by the million ads and pop ups that the viewer is exposed to. Stop getting so wound up about it, it’s no personal vendetta against city. It’s just 2023 and what a piss pot outlet has to do to survive in a world where nobody buys an actual newspaper or even wants to pay for the news. Not saying it wasn’t in the past, it probably was, but not anymore. Most the people that work there are probably from the south and couldn’t give a **** about rugby or football.
BREAKING NEWS: Man does job he's asked to do by his annoying owners. People slagging off Baz for writing supposedly clickbaity titles designed to aggravate our fanbase need to actually remember who is employers are owned by. And that it happens at all local papers now. I'll probably get hate for this post, but Baz, contrary to popular belief, does not hate Hull City or the fans. He's doing the job he has been asked to carry out. Plain and simple. (Also, I'm sorry, but there's nothing technically incorrect about the title of that article... and it never at any point in the article eludes to it being City fans either. So maybe don't judge a book by it's cover?)
Almost like he's been asked to do his job. Though, often, sometimes the editor, who of course decides what goes on the page, will often change the titles of articles to get more eyes on it. I rarely write my headlines for my City maych reports for the Gazette, our editor usually does it. But obviously the HDM editors couldn't possibly be doing such a thing, it's all solely Baz...
The Daily Mail? The HDM has been owned by the Reach Group, which owns the Mirror, for years. So, are you saying that the HDM editor has an agenda about City? Some of us have said that for years under a number of different owners.
You are rather silly, aren’t you, with your sweeping generalisations. Not forgetting your left wing bile.
All Baz had to do was put Birmingham before fan in the headline and nobody would care. Everyone understands it’s just filling up space. But like Brady has said it’s clickbait and everybody ****ing hates clickbait.
Moreso that the HDM editor (and most editors involved with places such as the Mirror, Daily Mail et al) has an agenda against news. The whole thing is clickbait, not just City. They are one of many parts of the paper effected.
