Stoke were the better team first half, but after the break we'd wrestled back contol and bringing the subs on was the cue to go and win the match. If we score the penalty then most likely that's what would have happened as we could have picked them off as they chased an equaliser. Another disaster for Bamford and there's no hiding from that fact even though in general play he did well.
My final thought on the penalty, watch it again, the keeper went so early, Bamford should have slowed down and hit it along the floor
Exactly. Play the percentages. Keep cool and roll it in. But he never keeps cool does he. For some reason he went for the roof of the net and ended up hitting the roof of the stand. Unprofessional and a bottler.
Bambi's tried hitting the target on his previous 2 penalties and had them saved so thought he's try something diferent
What a crap evening - lost £75 on Newcastle, gained £45 from City eventually beating Young Boys but so ****ed off with losing to Stoke burnt £28 on Tombola on some crappy spinny game. All in all down £58 and Barndoor misses another penalty.......absolute shambles.
B'stard how things work out, felt sure Ipswich would lose at Bristol and we would beat stoke, narrowing the gap to just three points, but after tonight's woeful performance on our part it's now a massive 9 points.
