Thats the championship for you, most teams in the league will have good n bad patches. Same happens every season, the race for the playoffs will be tight again n we still have every chance to get there. Neerd to put a good run together soon as 4 defeats in 5 is poor We played well last night just not clinical enough n a few sloppy moments but the squad showed heart n kept fighting till the end Bounce back on sat is needed now
The morning after and still believe we where unlucky not to get at least a point. We look so much better at that fast tempo, play like that for the rest of the season and we will win far more than we lose. Burstow is a conundrum as he just seems lost and neither a target man or a fox in the box, maybe time for one of the others to have a go up front. Onto Norwich at home and a chance to get back to winning ways
Don't know. Just know how he was POTY here and got his head on everything. Now any ball into the box we simply get it nodded into the box.
We won't make the play offs we will finish bang mid table. Tony will be gone and we will start again. It begs the question, do you wait or just pull the trigger now instead of wasting the rest of the season.
Patterson was great. Their keeper has the deckchair out. We didn't deserve a point we got well beaten IMO. That's why our keeper was MOTM. Burstow is garbage. Waste of a shirt and developing Chelsea player, rather we get mins into a player we own
Would be a fair enough deal if he developed like Abraham did in his spell in the championship and repaid in goals but so far this one looks like he’s being developed for a league 1 or 2 career. Sorry if that seems harsh but he’s looked more out of depth than Hemir who at least got into some scoring positions. Poor recruitment either way in the position that should have been the main focus since January, which is concerning imo.
Agree RE Hemir he’s been inches away from having 2 goals already, Rotherham and Qpr in what was probably what around 20mins of football if that?
Far too soon to judge recruitment in that position We will know better as the season goes on if we have nailed the position or not. It takes players time to settle so lets wait n see what happens. I get peoples frustrations, i was the same watching the game last night. Thought we played well overall but I didn't agree with the subs. Chasing a game n we have no strikers on is never a good look for a team I get he was moving clarke into a more central position to try n get him on the ball more but its still annoying when we have hemir n rusyn on the bench Next few games is big for TM as i feel he has made some really poor decisions last 3 games and weve been punished for them!! I wouldnt write off our chances of the playoffs just yet, obviously its your opinion to do so tho. I feel we still have more gears to go up and weve shown this season we are a really hard team to play against n we have quality in our side Got to be in n around the playoffs in January n then hopefully strengthen the squad then to kick us on nxt season I thought the result was a fair one, we created good chances but they had the better chances but i was impressed with how we went toe to toe with them n didnt back down. Thats a great sign for a young team. No point me having debates about whether we would or wouldnt be better with baath in the team. The lad has played 4 mins for Norwich this season so hard to tell if hes still the same player as last season or not
It's November next week and we are well into the season. We banked big money from Stewart and didn't replace with oven ready forward mate. That's the harsh truth. They might be better for it next season but it seems again, it's the crux of the issue. That, alongside we are not soft as a far at centre back and now losing headers to players who are 5.10 is not a good combination. That along with Tony playing his favourites and being slow to react means we are sailing down the league
Its November next week and we are just outside the playoffs tho Its not as easy to just sign a oven ready at championship level as those cost big money these days, money transfer fees then mean big wages as well As i said way too soon to judge if we have sorted the striker situation or not. You said the same last season about us sailing down the league after a bad run of games n we bounced back Always goung to go through tough batches in the league thats as competitive as this n with a squad that so young
Would rather take the risk of a new appointment failing over coming midtable with mowbray, no point really.
Yeah, and we banked big money with the Stewart deal. I do think when we analyze the recruitment there will be more duff signings than good ones. We are absolutely weaker than last season.
I think I have the same mindset. Tony will not get you promoted. His entire managerial career has shown this. Steady hand and works well with young players. It will come to a tipping point IMO. Club have ambitious plans on and off the field and a PL place is important to that.
We have no idea if the strikers signed are good because they are not getting any decent run of games and when they do play they are getting barely any service and we aren't playing to their strengths at all. Burstow looks poor for what we ask him to do but last night he made at least 5 great runs in behind and the player on the ball didn't even look at him. Hemir comes on and we barely cross the ball. We chased Rusyn all summer, a player who played as a striker most of last season and was recently called up to his national team and he has barely played. Shocking management imo.
We have absolutely seen enough of Burstow. Not ready at all and not our players. Rather persist with our own.
