Potter spent 8 years managing other clubs before BHA; Osterund and Swansea. 11 if you include Leeds Carnegie. McKenna managed U18s for 3 years at Spurs and Man U followed by 3 years as assistant manager at Man U, before going to Ipswich LR had significantly less experience coming back to City.
I was as disappointed as anyone after what happened on Saturday. We are doing ok. Not great but ok. I cannot understand all the discussion about Liam Rosenior. He's happy to share his thoughts and opinions. If we don't like it we can turn the volume down. I remember getting pissed off listening to Nigel Adkins and his repeating mantra but it was his perogative to try his best doing it his way. Liam will get at least this season to develop the squad. I know it's a forum to exchange views, and it's good we are all so invested in the club and it's development. Perhaps it's good that I have to drive home for a couple of hours before I can even think of posting. I am looking forward to seeing how we can improve at both ends of the pitch. Cutting out the naive defending and improving decision making and patterns of play to improve the goals scored column. Like many others I wish this player or that type of player had not been let go or been brought in, but my role is as a supporter. I haven't got enough money to influence decisions. Don't get too down when things don't go to plan/as expected/as hoped for. And don't get too excited when we go on a run.
I didn't say that (kinell, here we go again!). I was just saying good that you seem to have it finally 'nailed'. Can't even compliment you now.
But they always created a lot of high quality chances, had an elite mid block, conceded low quality chances. We concede high quality chances, don’t have a good press and don’t create a lot of high quality chances. The style might be the same, but the execution of the coaching would be 10x better.
Thats bollocks... Rob Edwards was appointed on November 17 2022.... Mc Kenna was appointed on 16 December 2021.... and I'd take Robbins as manager in a heartbeat..
I see Syd and his mate are saying they would see a load of bollocks if they saw the ignored posts. How ironic, if other people were ****ers putting people on ignore like them they would miss a load of bollocks. Maybe one day they will be able to take criticism and people disagreeing with them. In the meantime they continue to show they cannot debate and win an argument and retreat to their safe space.
Realised I hadn't updated the league posn comparison, those projected points totals equate to (based on last season) 62 - 13th, 65 - 11th, 63 - 11th=. Just for comparison, Shota's points record last season equated to a finish of 19th, but Rosenior hasn't improved us, oh no.
Robbins is now the longest serving manager in the Championship, McKenna is fifth, you generally don't get long to get things right in this league.
It's also incorrect from M O saying McKenna was given time. In his 1st season (appointed December) they went from a struggling team to winning 7 out of his 1st 10 games! 1st full season they got promoted! This season, flying. Maybe coincidence he'd served a very full 'apprenticeship' as already detailed. Similar with Potter. Neither spoke like they were some sort of Mourinho mk11 before they were even out of their managerial nappies (and still don't as far as I'm aware).
>Show Ignored Content. This man-child is still crying that I put him on ignore months ago. >Puts him back on ignore.
One of the biggest complaints from Brighton supporters about Potter was they drew too many games and didn't have a cutting edge. Sound familiar?
Not sure what I found funnier, him saying you and I are mates when you give me as much stick as anyone, or the concept that the aim of posting on this forum is supposedly to 'win arguments'. Bizarre to be so wound up that people don't want to engage with rubbish or people who think the sun shines out of Norwich's arse.
I've had a pop at you before, Syd, but you do have interesting things to say sometimes. With Castro, it's not that I am intimidated by his superior intellect or his skills as a mass debater but that he is quite possibly one of the most tedious and boring individuals I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with in any capacity whatsoever, and I'd rather not read whatever ****e he has to say.
