We don't know we're born - some of the better roads are only about twice as bad as our most pot holed ones. Lots of cars driving about with knackered suspensions.
On that same trip I went to Lima and know what you mean. Though the Ceviche I fell in love with, this marinated raw fish with lemon juice, delicious. On the negative side, I have experienced a few earthquakes on my travels, but the most frightening was in Lima.
Swings and roundabouts, missed the 'joy' of hearing Rico tell all and sundry how wonderful America is, but had the 'pleasure' of hearing how great Norwich is. Oh, and at the previous home game I tried to give Ric Glasgow a rather nice 'Up the Bhoys Glasgow Celtic' badge, and on Saturday Castro a very fetching 'I Love Norwich' badge. After much time and expense on my part, both of the bleedin' ingrates turned them down. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
You found out on Saturday that someone’s son and grandson has never heard him mention Norwich. Was that because I forgot you had changed your fizzy pop allegiance and bought you the old one?
It came as little surprise, as anyone can see that the majority of initial Norwich mentions come from others. I'll get you a pint of h2so4 next time, provided you neck it in one, I'm fairly sure you won't take that literally., although... The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Just took a call from my daughter and apparently the producers of “ A place in the sun “ want her to appear in a future episode. She lives just outside of competa, a lady at the school my grandkids go to asked if she’d like to go on. Of course she said yes, one of the producers has messaged her for a meet to discuss it. For anyone that has seen the program they have someone who’s lived in the area to meet and tell them a bit about it. They’re filming on Tuesday, Gemma rang me to ask for some advice as to what to say. I asked if I could tag a long but was refused point blank lol. The really weird thing is the couple that are looking to buy in the area are doing exactly what gem and the kids did 3 years ago. Taking a caravan with all their worldly good, 2 children and a dog and live in Spain. The presenter in the episode will be jasmine who just happens to be our and my daughter’s favourite. My son in law won’t go on he said no way lol so it will just be my eldest. In her job she is use to doing presentations to some of the largest companies around without and fear at all but this has got her a bit wobbly lol. I’ve packed my weekend bag in case I get the call to step in and provide some support on screen, “ this is Gemma and her father to tell you a little about the area of competa “ lol. She’s already had the call and signed up…
I'm not sure I could have resisted the temptation to reply 'Competa says no'. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
https://www.theguardian.com/travel/...-favourite-ancient-sites-in-europe-uk-ireland Winning tip: North Yorkshire’s mighty barrows and monoliths please log in to view this image Duggleby Howe is one of many Neolithic remains in the Wolds. Photograph: Steve Speller/Alamy Very few people know about Duggleby Howe in the Yorkshire Wolds, one of the largest round barrows in Britain, 20 miles north-east of York. It sits in a landscape so rich in monuments as to draw comparisons with prehistoric Wessex, yet attracts only a fraction of visitors. Today, the round barrow is freely accessible. Standing at its summit, the enigmatic Gypsey Race – our most northerly chalk stream – can be seen wending through the valley. Along its route lie another barrow – Willy Howe – and the mighty Rudston monolith, the UK’s tallest free-standing megalith. This ritual landscape has a unique and brooding atmosphere, and must be experienced first-hand. many on here know about this?
Just en route to Istanbul Any suggestions gratefully received (already visiting most obvious places like Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, and Topkapi Palace)
