At least it doesn’t worsen our magnificent goal difference.

Nines, thanks for this info, as I was not aware that we had appointed a Director of Performance.

A simple definition of “performance” is: “Someone's or something's performance is how successful they are.”

For us, it is not exactly rocket science. We are performing very badly. We need to stop conceding a multitude of goals and need to start scoring ourselves, plus hopefully more than one in a blue moon.

Where do I have to send my invoice for this piece of invaluable insight and consulting advice?

Yes, yesterday we played quite well. We may have, perhaps even should have, won had we not let in two quick fire goals, or scored more goals ourselves. But unfortunately, we lost again.

We are in a very long trend (our “performance”) of bad results.

You can’t keep enduring this so-called ‘bad luck’ for this amount of time. You make and create your own ‘good luck’ with what you have in the right way and it does turn around.

GA is doing nothing of that. Loads of good comment and advice on here, week after week. No rocket science. No stupid selections. No ramming square pegs in round holes. No delusional thoughts on games. Just get the players playing in their best positions with honest graft and do the basics to your full ability. FFS, this is the worst I can remember for an awful long time.
Come on guys … you need to change it!!
    Please!

I agree that this stat is very painful. The absolute minimum expectation of any “footballer” is to be able to kick the ball straight.

When a profesional footballer shoots on goal, he should hit the target. The best shot of all time is useless if not on target. It if the most basic of football “basics”.

Like most in their early twenties I went through the Poker phase, not heavy but enough to pass the time.

I eventually learnt that hanging on to the duff hand was pointless, that the flop probably wasn't going to produce a 3 and 9 to match my hand and let me win with 2 pair.

Our substitutions remind me of this blond optimism...

"Maybe these 4 kids with 6 sub appearances & no goals between them, being played in positions they dont know and all possible service now off the pitch may somehow pull off a full house in the 2 remaining minutes"

Tragically true Bob. Those substitutions were crazy. Can’t believe he thought putting Smyth in for Armstrong would strengthen us. We were losing FFS. Dixon-Bonner for Colback? Really. Kolli for Adomah? Where’s the logic. It’s beyond me. He made us worse after the substitutions - when we needed to keep the pressure on them to have any hope of getting an equaliser. It’s bad enough we can’t score with our starting eleven; we have even less chance with his changes I’m afraid.
it does seem the team are losing it with him too. Kakay’ s spats becoming regular. Armstrong losing it at his substitution. The youngsters are putting it out there. I suspect the older heads are keeping their powder dry awaiting the inevitable sacking ahead.

Kakay will no doubt be out for the next game but he's pretty crap anyway. He had a spat with Ainsworth at Leeds and was dropped for a left back. To me, from what I've seen live and on TV, the players seem fed up of Ainsworth. I really do wonder what goes on in training. All he banged on about was intensity. Well that was clearly lacking for the first 45 mins. As you say, his substitutions were quite unbelievable and unnecessary. He's playing a guessing game at the expense of the whole club. What a bizarre appointment he has been. Clueless from all parties.

Regardless of how good or not players are...we need all players playing hard to get into team. Not having spats with the boss

They need a boss they respect. Or at least one they are scared of.

I never expected much from Ainsworth tactically, but I thought that at least he would get the players motivated and all pulling together. The opposite now seems to be true and I really can't see why the board haven't acted.

I think he carries a tight black shirt and shiny buckle rather well.
Not so sure about the down & out look from the neck up though.
