As soon as the hour mark hit, we seemed to crumble due to fatigue. Subs never really got going and we struggled to maintain any sort of position.

Seri's legs had gone early second half. As the game became more and more expansive he was a ghost in the game. I am amazed Rosenior didn't take him off. I will stand by the subs he made but I dont know why he didn't bring legs on in the middle

It depends on how Oscar and Celi have developed while out on loan.

I'm not sure Morton will be anywhere near the first team of Liverpool at the end of this season, we might be able to get him back. Delap is much further forward in his development.

Our biggest error, as is well known, is not replacing Oscar like for like. Delap doesn't seem to be a goal scoring machine and Connolly seems to be back on the bench again. I'd have him on the pitch ahead of Twine. Although Twine was improved today, I didn't realise he was playing until he touched the ball about 25 minutes into the game.

Connolly in for Twine against Brum, so we have a bit more ****housery on the pitch. Tufan for Lokilo if he hasn't shaken off the dead leg (I get them all the time banging them off tables, they go away after 20 mins, when did a dead leg become a five day injury?!).

Delap really should be scoring more. I say that not as a criticism per se, but his movement with the ball at feet is amazing for someone of his size. Only one I can think of who is similar is Kane, and that's not to say Delap should be scoring 30+ a season, but he really needs to be capitalising more on his mobility.

Some of you are so boring, he isn’t going to shag you for your unconditional support. Blindly supporting the manager when he clearly isn’t good enough is just as damaging as undeserved criticism

We have a top 6 budget - FACT

We have 4 wins, one against the worst team in the division (Sheffield), one against another very poor team (Stoke) one against a ten man Blackburn in the 88th minute, and one fluke against the best team in the division (Leicester)

How can you be so blind to it? We’re not going to get promoted with LR as the manager

Is it? Do you have a source? I'd be shocked if our budget is bigger than four of Southampton, Leeds, Leicester, Norwich, Watford, West Brom, Middlesbrough, Coventry, or Sunderland.

Who's blind to what? Are Boro getting promoted under Carrick? Were they any less likely to get promoted under him 5 games ago than they are now?

Is supporting our manager wanting him to shag us or is it just supporting the club and happy with the progress we've made?

Firstly, Coyle didn't get booked. Secondly, you are looking at it from hindsight. 99% of managers make that switch in the context of the game today. If he hadn't taken Christie off with a perfectly decent RB on the bench he would have been slaughtered. He's damned if he did and damned if he didn't.

I agree the subs offered nothing when coming on but I think not taking off some of the midfield to get fresh legs in was the biggest crime today

He did get booked, he nearly killed someone near the corner flag. I'm 101% sure he got a yellow for it.

Thanks for calling this out, we absolutely do not have a Top 6 budget, it’s nonsense to suggest we do!

Two attacking overlapping full backs too. Brave game to try it, but regardless of how it works today it would be good to see this sort of line up vs some of the weaker teams in the division, specially at home.
I keep thinking we seem to have had an unbalanced first quarter of the season in terms of playing very good teams. I then look at the teams we haven’t played and it doesn’t seem to get much easier! There doesn’t seem to be many ‘gimmes’). It seems a ridiculously strong league.

This may be boring, but we do have lots of posters who are a bit ‘extreme’. I know it’s good to have a strong opinion and believe in yourself/be passionate etc., but can we just take a deep breath and realise…

- The football has improved under Rosenior since Shota, but we could be doing a little better.

I’m sure Rosenior realises this himself too. I’m not saying he’s the right or wrong man for the job. Only time will tell. At the end of the season, by all means shout ‘I told you so’, if it helps. But let’s just calm it down. It was a last minute goal, and we were definitely the better side for the first hour or so! I know it’s frustrating, but we have an important run of games now to put it right. If we don’t get a win, then maybe it’s time to worry. But if we continue to be there or thereabouts after them, it’s exciting, surely?

I do have to agree that first half yesterday was a huge improvement to what we have been seeing, and this has been overlooked. I am quietly confident we will go on a good run now.

Also, did I spot Barmby in the crowd? Does he still have a connection with the club? Maybe he can be brought in to sort out the attack? As a coach, of course.

Though he did always keep himself fit…

I wish people would stop with the 'he's a young manager' crap he's 39!!!!! .... compare to Rob Edwards (40) and Kieran McKenna (37). The difference for me with their teams and the success, comes from a combination of youth and enthusiasm and one or two grounded old heads.

On the shoot on sight issue, isn't that what we always did naturally when we were young and playing. Question is, has that been coached out of them...

Hope it’s cooled down a bit since we were there three weeks ago. We were expecting 28-30 degrees and it was 34-36 every day. The trouble is that the locals had all decided that they weren’t turning the air conditioning on because it was out of season. Had to spend all our time either in the pool or drinking. We had a terrible time!

<laugh> It's supposed to be 24 - 26 degrees

On a day when the greatest "Shoot on sight" player I have ever seen passed away I can't think of a better way to put it

After the gutting but predictable end to yesterdays game, I have to say I thought the better team won. For me, they bossed the 2nd half and we never got close enough to their no.16. We need to develop a clinical edge. When their defender slips and lets Delap in, he has GOT TO SCORE. We don't make hatfuls of chances so the ones we do get have to be finished. Oh well. on to Birmingham.

And I have a plane to catch <cheers>

I'll say it again... what happened to the pre season ensuring we finished a game stronger then the opposition.... !!!

In summary, cut out the defensive lapses, be more clinical in the final third.

If we can do either or even both we might be onto something, then negative twats like me can move onto moaning about something else, like the England cricket team or Christmas.

I'd certainly stick with the system and lineup from yesterday for home games. Probably go back to something a bit or rigid for Birmingham away
