Many USB sticks would be considered obsolete, those with low capacity and slow speed.
Many laptops don't even have USB-B sockets.

Oi cheeky sod! The 15 million 10Mb USBs I threw away last year all went into Swedish landfill so you can't blame me for your mess.

Where I work the company banned their use as that many were bringing computer virus in, where as emailing files in, could be scanned which seemed to work better.

    Not used one for...

I've seen them where the usb plug is damaged/bent, some of the cheapo ones don't last very long and also I'd imagine a lot of the early low capacity ones have been binned for later ones. Data suggests that 50-odd million of them were sold in 2021 alone, so there's a lot out there!

Few reasons why you’d throw them away
    1. You have too many of them. I cleared a drawer out the other days and found at least a dozen of them in there. They used to given out at conferences at the same volume as ****ty branded pens.
    2. They’re broke
    3. You don’t have a computer that uses them. My laptop only has USB C inputs. (Although I have an adaptor in case)
    4. You just never use them because you store everything in a cloud.

I might make art out of mine…then someone can throw that away instead.

Flash memory degrades over time depending on how many times its written and erased. 10 years is a typical life expectancy but many devices wont get close to the limit on how many times they can be used.

Enough of this frippery, there are serious issues to be resolved.

    When is next Saturday?

Is it the 14th or the 21st of October?

That can't be right, or you'd never get a simple question like this right.

What is the next number in this sequence 1,2,3,4...?

In your example it'd be 6.
