Not getting drunk or anything, but with the nights drawing in something made me fancy a rum and ginger beer. ****e selection in the local Tesco Extra @luvgonzo so, after much deliberation, ended up buying Mount Gay. Bit insipid tbh, but the ginger beer is a let down as bought Fentimans and it's flat soon as it hits the glass. They don't sell Old Jamaica any more it seems. Sadly. There was a rum called Sidique by the the Penderyn lot, you tried that?
The Penderyn operation is moving to one of the old copper 'foundry' buildings in town. Pretty much open now. All seems a bit 'brewed under licence' bogus to me. Is the Penderyn one staying open do you know? Dick himself would no doubt be gutted!
Bought a bottle of Depth Charge spiced rum a few weeks back, quite nasty stuff. Think I'll stick with the Rumbullion, worth the little extra
