I bet Acun owns a tractor. He will bond instantly with Colin.

This is what separates us from other ‘possession’ teams, except Southampton under Russell Martin.

In both Rosenior and Martin’s style of football, the tempo is extremely slow and methodical and most passes are made to a player’s feet. Other teams that play possession football playing out from the back, like Ipswich, prefer to play at a slightly higher tempo and their passes are played into the empty space ahead of their receiving players. Yes, it means leaving space at the back which is why Ipswich concede quite a few as well but they also score loads. Their players are constantly making forward runs, pulling the opposition out of position and they press relentlessly. We don’t really do that.

When was the last time we played a through ball on the ground for a forward to run onto and score? We’ve scored a few from long balls but how many have we scored where our #10 like Traoré or Tufan play a nice pass on the ground for someone like Delap or Connolly to run onto? It seems like none of our forwards attempt to make runs in behind the opposition’s defensive line unless it’s a long ball.

Russell Martin’s Swansea team had to be the most boring to watch. Rosenior’s, for the most part, are in the same category.

His Southampton team is also quite boring to watch too. It’s the same **** but with better quality players.

If you think this City team are really boring to watch, you must be a very recent City fan. It's not a massively entertaining up and at em style, but if you find it consistently boring you've either got a really short attention span, or you're eight years old*

*Both may be true, terms and conditions apply.

I was at the game yesterday and I realise jhe10 likes to try and paint a picture that everything is happy within the City support.
It isn’t supporters are bored ****less with how slow we played yesterday and the 2nd half performance did not go down well outside of Jhe10 little bubble.

ive been watching City for years & have seen many boring games when City had a team with no talent (most of the Dolan teams)& did not have a single shot on goal. Yesterday I was bored to tears watching a team full of decent Championship level players constantly passing the ball around at the back completely clueless on how to get the ball up to the strikers. Both goals came from long punts upfield from McCoughlin & Allsop directly into the final 3rd. If City had proceeded to dick around at the back passing it between themselves they would not have scored either goal & the game would have finished 2-0 to Millwall

I thought it was a really entertaining game. I love our style of play. I’m sick of all the whingeing here and elsewhere though.

    What on earth? <laugh>

Now you're criticising him for yelling at the players during the match? What do you think managers do while they stand there on the sidelines?

If he did nothing you'd be complaining that he's inanimate and not trying to change things during the game.

No response to my comment about the style of goals we're scoring and the varied nature of them though I see.

The term “ recent” is relative to time. For example, the First World War is recent when viewed in context with say, the Wars Of The Roses. What you are actually saying, without knowing anything about me, is that I have only been following City since the Prem League days. Couldn’t be further from the mark son. First game attended was at Boothferry Park v Middlesbrough. Over fifty years ago. I’ve seen the average times, the utter dross and the “ successful” times. And yes- I find the current style boring. You are right about one thing though. I do have a short attention span with moronic sounding people trying to be clever.

I’ve been sacked from quite a few jobs in my time, in my days at sea I was once sacked from 3 different ships I worked on, all within a month. Booze and women were the culprits but not necessarily in that order. But not once did I get a pay off ??? Bastards!! think I’ll go back to them and tell them, hey you ****ers…

Pretty depressing thread to catch up on this. People are just so absolutely determined to be unhappy, and almost take offence at being asked to consider being more supportive.

I really do think this mood is at risk of holding the club back. You get nowhere with this level of unrest. It's obviously going to take the team pulling off a really good run of results to break out of this cycle, but even when we were 4th in the table it was like this.
