Love him or hate him?
Personally I love him, a lot of people disagree but he was one of the best English players in generations.
Started watching the series on Netflix and really enjoying it, got to feel for him for all the **** he went through following that sending off against Argentina.
It’s worth watching if you haven’t seen it yet.

Completely thrown under the bus. Should never have reacted with the kick out and given the opportunity to be sent off but seeing Hoddle’s interview after the game was shocking.

It's all out there on the internet. I don't know anything no one else doesn't know. I definitely don't want to spend my Saturday night writing/regurgitating his unofficial biography.
 
Certainly one of the greatest cultivators of an image ever to play the game.

Very good player, thick as mince on and off the field - like all the Fool's Golden Generation.

I like him, but not enough to want to watch a documentary about him

I’m looking forward to watching the Netflix series, heard some good reviews. Loved Beckham as a player.

I always thought that Beckham was under rated as a footballer and if you listen to his peers he was always very highly regarded. The best managers in the world wanted him to play for them. the best teams in the world wanted him but for some reason this country people wanted to drag him down. We have a habit of doing that with top class footballers. The media go hunting for stories to sell papers, internet trolls can not wait to jump on the slightest infringement. We believe professional footballers should live like monks, do not eat crap food must not have a night out with mates should not spend time with friends should stay off social media and any other list of things. He was a boy who became a man in the public domain of the time, he turned his ability to play football and his good looks into a business empire, he owns his own football franchise and has done extensive charity works, he has friends amongst some of the most powerful people on the planet, prime ministers and presidents, kings and queens. Not bad for a bloke who is as 'thick as mince'

He made the best of himself, on and off the pitch, so good luck to him. But not something I'd bother watching.
 
I was pissed off with his involvement in the Qatar World Cup, but he was my George Best growing up. No one can deliver a ball like he could.
