As Sensible is so excited about it, I thought I'd give an update on last night's Super Match. This turned out to more of a Damp Squib with only Joe getting any points at all - 4 in fact.

This was due to a technicality. Joe put Birmingham City down to win whereas the rest of us didn't.

Why do we get such poor scores at times.....I have found a dice rolling app.....with numbers up to 20.

I have changed the higher numbers....6 up to 20 to represent extra noughts....ones...two's...threes...fours.

So my dice now has....4...noughts..........5...one's..........5...two's..........3...three's..........2...four's..........and 1...five....so that is 20 possibilities.

I'll keep a check on how it does for a few weeks to see if predicting is better that spinning a dice......I suspect not.

Just done todays matches and in general it looks quite possible.

There is one worrying match though.....Sunderland ...0-5...Middlesboro.....that might not happen.

Argyle came out at ...0-0.

If any scores go six or more than I lose out of course.

Jokers and goal times I still predict.

Just a bit of fun of course.

The Super Match was a dud this week as we nearly all wrongly assumed Birmingham City would beat West Brom on Friday night. On Saturday though the double points feature kicked in, particularly for those who put a joker on Leicester to beat Stoke.



Three scores in the twenties then but Plym just edged it with a "6" from the Coventry v Norwich draw as well as a "12" from Leicester v Stoke.

Away in BC and SMH shared the goal time, both with 10 minutes predicted versus 18 actual.


Plym and Joe's big scores were matched by Away in BC, keeping him in top spot, but they did overhaul Lyndhurst.

No change at the bottom although Musty posted a competitive score, which is more than can be said for Sensible and me.

No games now until Friday 20th October. For those of you who'll be playing with your dice in the meantime, the Super Match will be a Mid-Table Puzzler: Bristol City (15 points, 14th) v Coventry City (15 points, 13th).

 

what a disaster!

 

The whole weekend was a disaster for me. Firstly I was not well on Saturday and could not face doing the 10 Tors across Central Park to get out of the place after the game. It really is a cross country that could be solved so easily if they had a mind to, Then my team lost badly when it all looked so good for a short time. That made my day even worse. Then my predictions went completely up the creek with no paddle in sight. Posted the lowest score ever seen on a double points week. You think you had a bad time lyndhurst. Tisk tisk........

PNE...1-1...Millwall.....so the away team have sacked their manager....because they've only won 4 games....seemed to do quite well down here.

Personally, I find the constant swapping and changing reminiscent of teams struggling to find form or rhythm.

It’s not just the starting formation. Against Millwall, we made three or four formation changes in the game. And against Swansea, there were three, after switching to a back four, and then ending up 4-4-2 with Bundu playing LM."
