    Down here this morning. Just gonna walk the dog and wait for the tide to drop out.

    Then some wave riding.

    I like this October sun, far more than the summer, because the daylight hours are shorter and any warm temps soon cool down.

    Done for the day, 10.25 miles, thought we'd get another Munro in but got to 720mtrs and the wind was around 50 mph, visibility shocking, not knowing the ridge, decided it wasn't safe to carry on, so back down and carry on the WHW.

    Yeah not worth the risk. I know what it's like when you want to push on, but you have to take the elements into the equation.

    My local is a craft beer place but he does one lager and it's Budvar as it's the only exported Cech beer left.

    Picked the dark one up in Lidl along with Modelo as that's still exported. The dark Budvar has stout flavours but a lighter feel, very nice. I'm going to grab a few and put away for Christmas.

    Can't say I'm a fan of stout.

    Drank Modelo in Mexico many moons ago. Nice crisp lager that.

    Final day and that lot behind us. Today was a leg sapping 15.6 miles, fair bit of climbing but the weather was rank, didn't stop pissing down all day.

    @PINKIE.

    How about this, there was a ultra marathon event here today, because of the weather, the swim part of it was cancelled.
    They started where we were this morning at 8am, 16 mile bike ride up and over to the base of Ben Nevis, then run up and down Nevis, ride back the 16 miles and then a 5 mile run when they returned.
    As we were walking the trail, the first one on the return came the opposite way, he'd done the first ride and the run up.and down, was 10 miles into it on the way back, looked at my watch, he'd done all that in 3 hrs 45 minutes, ffs, how fit must they be.

    Different level mate

    Some of those folk are like machines, they just keep on going

    Got a friend out in New Mexico at the moment, she's an ultra marathon runner. She's been doing 30 miles a day running through the desert training for some crazy 100 mile jobby out in the Gobi desert in the winter.
