Two wins in a row. First clean sheet since 1894. A freekick in the back of the net without a double barrelled name for the first time since Matthew LeGod discovered conspiracy theories. So why are we all still nervous? Is it because cottage cheese as a better consistency than our defending? Or are we all just nervous ninnies? Fully expecting 4-0 win. Will probably lose.
Rotherham have played 5 away games and lost all 5. Gonna be another park-the-bus long-ball counter-attack team that we seem to struggle against.

Agree, we need to keep the starting lineup the same but would like to see him get 30minutes. Is aneroid mayo better on the left or right?
Rotherham are going to sit deep so it is important we give players who can go by defenders a go and be very mobile up front, as such I would go for a front three of Adarma, Suli and Edozie who can switch regularly to confuse their markers

The extra days rest should help us and our young lads and its a long drive for Rotherham. Can't remember the last time we won 3 on the trot. Please ignore that 2nd sentence. That was silly saying that. We know what happens. This is saints
Think we'll find a way early on and win. Why? I'm hoping the last two games, Stoke in particular, will have galvanized this team and they will have a new found determination. It's the hope etc.
Yeah get an early goal and this could be a humping. Get to the hour mark at 0-0 and nerves will start to kick in.
Games everyone expects us to win are always dangerous We need to start with energy and aggression and not let them work harder than us Get a goal early on and we can be patient after that Unchanged team hopefully
Absolutely no idea what the score will be, just like every other game so far. Hope to see the same effort as Tuesday with a bit more attacking intent
First home game I'm going to miss this season. I feel like this game has the potential to be a comfortable win or a 0-1 loss having dominated but created little and they score on the break.
Not getting carried away with hope simply because of the way we played against Forest last season, who were equally as bad away from home.
Saints v Rotherham (Donham) Utd history. The last time the two teams met in a league game was 1966 (1-1). In the three (cup) games since 1966, we have lost them all. Head to head Saints W8 D2 L9 From May 1963 to April 1965 Saints won five consecutive league matches including two 6-1 wins. The next five up to Sept 2008 (the last time we met) we achieved only one draw (including the three cup matches). ............................................................................................................................................................................. No one knows where Rotherham is or at least won't admit to it. The town get's it's name from the River Rother although the River Don runs closer to the town centre and they should really be called Donham Utd. It has it's traditions in heavy industry of all sorts. A proper northern town. It has a fabulous looking minster called Rotherham Minster although it should really be called Donham Minster. please log in to view this image Among the famous people born in Donham; World Cup winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks Referee Howard Webb Our very own Frazer Richardson and my personal favourite, the Chuckle Brothers Although it produced the Chuckle Brothers, Rotherham was once ranked the unhappiest place to live in England and no doubt will be even more miserable come Saturday evening.
Sorry @......loading...... I didn't mean to take over your thread, I was only going to post some match facts and couldn't stop. I realised I knew nothing about Rotherham so did a bit of research and found all these interesting snippets.
It's amazing what you can find once you start. Interesting facts about the famous sons of Rotherham, Paul and Barry Chuckle; This first one is a bit of a surprise. Their real surname is not actually Chuckle but Elliot.(true) After Barry sadly died in 2018 there was a petition to name an area outside of Boots in the town centre, Chuckle Square(true). The miserable Rotherham council refused the request(true). Thankfully Eastleigh Council weren't as mean spirited when they allowed Benny Hill Way(also true). The Chuckle brothers were life-long Rotherham Utd fans (true) and were actually employed by the club to improve the player's passing skills, (to me, to you). (possibly not true) The Saints V Rotherham match will be shown live on ChuckleVision Sports1, Saturday 3pm KO. (not true, ChuckleVision Sports only shows highlights) please log in to view this image
