I'm getting the feeling we won't be seeing him again

Not sure he would be anywhere near the starting 11 anyway , even if fully fit

Suspect you're right. Even if he gets fit, he'd have to overtake Vaughan, Allahyar and Lokilo in the pecking order just to get minutes as a sub.

If he's as good as he was meant to be when he first arrived then he should be a better bet than Allahyar and Vaughan. Big if though.

Sinik on the bench today, so that'll be the reason he wasn't involved for the U21s yesterday then.

He’s come with a big reputation which he’s obviously earned, clearly we’ve not seen anywhere near the best of him. He was thrown into a struggling disjointed side immediately having returned from a long injury in a very different division in a foreign country after having no pre season, the odds were stacked against him.

He isn’t the first to have struggled to get going in England and he won’t be the last. There’s every possibility he could become a big player for us, he might not.

At this point though he has to be considered more as a new signing rather than a write off. The biggest worry is his injury record and fitness. He’s had 2 big injuries in a year now and taken a long time getting fit from both.

"Ally has got some tightness in his adductor, in his groin, and we had to play it safe with him. He'll get assessed on Monday. Jason (Lokilo) took a whack on his ankle on Tuesday (in training) but he should be OK for Tuesday which is great and hopefully, Harry will be fit for Tuesday as well, he took a knock on his ankle. Greavesy will be back in, but Sean (McLoughlin) was top, so I've got some difficult decisions to make."

We will be deep in a relegation battle by then, maybe we’ll get to see him a few more times before he goes to Real Madrid in January.

So, Slater out for two months. Glad we sent Simons on loan. If Seri or Morton get crocked, we’re ****ed.

Christmas for Slater? Rosenior said 8 weeks last night, so end of November-ish you'd hope.

He’ll look like Freddy Krueger by the time his contracts done with us.

    What a warrior.

He’s been in the wars for a while now. Played despite having cracked ribs back end of last season and now he’s had a broken nose and broken eye socket already this season. People might question his ability but he’s a hard bastard and I can’t think of anyone we have in the squad who would make a better captain.

Three broken bones in a year, and yet he's barely missed a game.

I bet he really appreciated all those **** Ipswich fans that booed him for getting treatment for a something as minor as a fractured eye socket.
