    So...

    + A wins a win.
    + Clean sheet
+ Bit of grit is welcome, enjoyed seeing our players celebrating like they had won a cup at the end.

    - We were pretty **** though.
    - Although in their defence it was a **** game all around.

I had a Stoke commentary on the stream I`m on - when their defender got injured colliding with the post, one of them seriously suggested that the posts should be padded, like in rugby. Yes really.

Get in. Ropey today and got lucky with the pen. Some poor decision making too. But they showed guts and courage. 3 points in the bag

Only won because of a piece of brilliance. Would have been 0-0 otherwise. Mustn't forget that. We need to create more against these types of teams. Really need Stewart to get fit because having no aerial presence in the box is a dream to lower-Champ defences.

Took a few too many risks with the passy pass stuff. Credit to the CBs and Bazunu. All excellent.

    Stoke are c*nts.

Big win against a decidedly average opponent and supporters who whine almost as much as those from Everton.

Lets not get into hyperbole now, Everton are elite at whinging. Not even their neighbours can compete.

Did you mean 'Your mom', or were you cut off mid-post?

Stuart Armstrong on his free-kick: "I've had the pleasure of watching Prowsey for five years, so I thought about what he would do."

Big win that. Tough place to go. Maybe finding our 'back bone' at last. I'm proud of the saints tonight.

    I thought that was a mistake, we’re 9th. It’s still so tight!

Glass half empty: Poor performance, lucky to not concede a pen and Stoke found it far too easy to get the ball into our box for their giant strikers and another day the flick ons could’ve landed to them instead of us.

Glass half full: should’ve scored at least one more with the 2 one on ones and free header missed. Grinding out performances like that and winning is the sign of a good team in any league

A scrappy win but marginally the better of two poor teams. Setup was wrong for us today, no point on the spear and still plenty for Martin to look at. A settled backline and organised midfield though which is what has got the boat back on course so to speak. Good stuff.

So now I’ve got over a bit of headless chicken and closed eye vision football near the end of the game, think we should have won by more, could have created more if we decided to be a touch more risky with our passing in the final third, but there are some shoots of promise.

Didn’t think the ref go too much wrong apart from the bedders pen shout. Stoke were very physical and kept mistiming their challenges.
