The Midlands Massive are going to this one and following Saturday, we have a new found confidence Feels like another 1-2 victory to me as long as RM doesn’t cock up the team selection once again
I think if you look at Martin's Swansea record against most sides their would be a fair few goals against!
Martin hinted there would be some rotation with 3 games in a week. I would imagine the back 5 will stay the same so the changes will come further forward. I doubt Stu will start 2 games in 4 days and I suspect Charly may drop to the bench. I just hope he doesn't tinker too much. Keep Adarma through the middle and Sulemana on the left.
That was Charly's first start for ages. He shouldn't need a rest. If anyone it's the full backs and Adarma who should need it most. However KWP is too good to drop and Adarma is on form. Tough one. I'd go with Bree at RB and KWP on the left. Otherwise keep the same team and just try to get the game won in the first 60 mins. Five subs means you don't really need to rest as many as usual.
From the highlights I watched it seemed as if Arma was played on the right, Sula on the left and then Charly in the middle but dropping deep, sort of like a false 9.
I`d give this a go, albeit it`s a shame to move KWP from his best position because of Manning`s shortcomings. Manning is RM`s man too, so he may be reluctant to drop him.
KWP is better playing an orthodox right back role, with the overlapping as a given part of the role. I think the inverted role messed with his head, which is why his performance level dropped. Manning might actually be okay if he stuck to playing the same way because he is so often out of position when he plays the inverted role. That cock up he made Saturday, when he trod on the ball in our box, could have been avoided if he had taken the safety first option and cleared the ball with his right foot, but he chose not to, which riles me because I have previously mentioned that it pisses me off when players shy away from using their weaker foot. If KWP had shied away from using his wrong’un on Saturday, we wouldn’t have had an early goal.
It's a tough one with KWP, arguably our best player but plenty of times this season he is seen as our go to pass by Baz, tries to dribble past two and gets tackled. Need to give him a good option in front to release. It seemed to me all of midfield attack bunch up on the left except AdamA. This frees Adam up for his breakfast but gives kwp limited options except to pass to cm or get doubleteamed.
Bazunu; KWP, Bednarek, THB, Manning; Charles; Smallbone, Downes; Alcaraz; Arma, Sulemana/Edozie. Only two I'd drop is Stuey and Sulemana if fitness isn't fully where it needs to be.
Kamaldeen should be ok, other option is Stu/Smallbone as you say. We never quite know where Stu is with his fitness but he seems to be doing better this season so far … and I liked that Stu/Charlie attacking midfield in the first half last time Let’s hope we start the same way tonight … and it’s not too windy
