I'd disagree with your post in regard to the 'older generation' booing and not being used to seeing City playing like this. Some on here have got 50,60,70 years under their belts and have seen this Club at the bottom of the barrel playing utter **** with **** players,****tier managers and utter **** owners. I heard no booing on Saturday, some fans were doing a bit of gobbing off at the pissing around in defence and the lack of urgency but I genuinely never heard booing. This whole thing is a mountain being made out of a molehill and I'd hazard a guess that if there were any booing at any of our games,it'd come from the younger generation who's one and only desire is to see the likes of Man City,Arsenal or Liverpool gracing our pitch again...
I'm probably classed as 'older generation' these days and if I wasn't booing when we were bottom of div 4 then I certainly won't be booing when we're 5th in the championship and enjoying the best 9 game start we've ever had at this level. I have wondered whether resistance to the change in style is a generational thing, but honestly I'm not sure it is.
Rosie, Seri and now Slater have all now spoken about the negative aspects of some of the atmosphere at home games, the booing was mentioned in the live match commentary when it happened and some (like me) told idiots around them to stop booing on Saturday, so it is quite clearly happening and the players are conscious of it. I'm not sure what we're classing at the 'older generation' here, but the booing arse behind me is in his 50's.
I'm sure you'll knock him out the next time then... I'll repeat again for all the doubting Thomas' amongst this somewhat divided group,I heard nothing and even if I had of,I'd have said or done nothing. They pay their cash, they can react how they want.I don't boo personally but each to their own.
My previous comment was taken rather too literally, I'm quite clearly not going to get myself a three year banning order over some brainless dipshit sat behind me. In an added twist, he actually sits with my accountant.
Just seen that some of their fans didn't get home until 10.00 am the next day due to bus breakdowns en route. Their support was impressive considering the journey.
I'm 50+ years supporting and i've never booed any City side whatever positioned we've been in. If they don't like what they're seeing then **** off to tws or prem team.
[ I've booed them just the once, April 4th 1998, and if they ever turn in a performance like that again I'd boo again. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
