Krul is a fantastic keeper all round. Better on crosses than Harper, same level shot stopper, inconsistent on one on ones true, kicking better than Harper's, not bad communication. The more games he gets the more he'll learn his faults. Nobody starts perfect!

Sorry but Krul's kicking is atrocious, I've seen some barely clear our back four and Colo/Williamson has to flick it on just so it lands in midfield.

Krul's got an enormous kick. Harper's is poor.

I'd let one out on loan next year, give Harper 1 more year as No.1, then offer him a Coach job. After that, I'll let someone more qualified than me decide who is better.

You must be joking, a significant amount are too low, too wide or have no power on them. And he cant hit with his right foot. Harper is miles better at kicking than Krul.

Harpers are normally nowhere near who he's aiming for. Krul's got a huge kick, granted it's not consistent enough yet, but it's still huge. He doesn't need a right foot, i remember when he first come in for Harper the defence kept knocking backpasses to his right foot which made his kicks terrible, but if you've got a left footed keeper you knock it to his left!

Yes he is ok on his left and he can hit them far but not often enough, Harper isnt fantastic but Krul needs to become a lot more consistent with his kicking, there shouldnt be an audible groan from the crowd at a goal kick because it's been scuffed so badly it needs to be flicked on by a defender.

True he needs to work on consistency. But that will come in time, i'd like to see Krul as our number 1 for years, fantastic keeper imo.

Who cares? We need a striker.

    I'm kidding, Harper number 1, Forster number 2, Krul I don't really care. <ok>

Krul has a poor kick, he just barely makes it past the halfway line. Harper's got a big kick on him.

Great bloke and a great keeper but that boat has sailed...

We've got to look at the 2 young keepers we have and determine who will be No. 1 or 2 in the next few seasons.

I think Harps has a season left in him and we're lucky to have two good youngsters ready to take over the mantle.

If they both give the service and loyalty that Harps has we'll do ok!

I'd rather have Krul. Despite the reviews that Forster is getting, look at the league quality they're in and then consider the difference in skill. Also Krul has had a string of games in the Prem which gives him the edge on experience for the league. As for one on ones, didn't he have one against Torres in our 3-1 win over Liverpool and saved it?

Would have Krul ahead of Forster, Forster has made at least 1 mistake(whether poor handling, kicking, getting sent off) in each old firm derby I've watched this season (did not see the game on the weekend). Should probably try keep all 3 at the club and send Ole Soderberg on loan somewhere.

Can our goalkeeper coach try and teach our keepers how to kick the ball properly though?

since Pardew hasnt been here for long (hasnt even worked with Forster yet) i'd assume he'll see how things go over the summer in training and in friendlies, and decide who get's what jersey at the start of next season (and who goes on loan)
