He was in my form. We did so much together. We played football, cricket and ran cross country for the school. He used to come to our house on Tuesdays nights and Saturday mornings to play Subbuteo. We went to his house every Tuesday after school to do the same. I knew him before we went from primary school football. He went into Insurance when he left school and stayed in it right to the end. He moved to the Midlands but still carried on watching City whenever they were there. I am beginning to wonder if I am making this up but I am sure that he won a prize for cheerfulness at school.
