David Axelrod et al are credited with it, not Mr McCallum.

Well, it's all booked. It's the maddest thing that we've done...since the last one. Mrs B and I are flying out to New York to see The Damned in Brooklynn on the 30th and in New York on the night of Halloween. We're there for 5 days (4 nights).

The cost is shuddering but it's our 30th wedding anniversary (on the 30th), Mrs B retires in November and it gives my prostate one last "Hurrah!" After my older brother died and with Mrs B's sister and mother battling cancer, there are no guaranteed tomorrow's.

Now how much leather, velvet, studs and such amounts to 23 kg? <laugh>

I was a Spurs fan from the moment I was conceived. It was never a choice. I was barely at school when I started going to matches.

The maddest thing in my life was marrying Mrs B II. I was only 22 and wasn't over my failed first marriage, which lasted 18 months and ended less than 6 months before I went and did it again!!!!

I regretted it within a couple of weeks but it lasted just over 2 years. **** knows how...oh yes, I was drunk for large swathes of it. It cost me a bloody fortune too!

Having 2 failed marriages by 24 years of age doesn't endear you to prospective mothers in law, I can tell you! <laugh>

The phrase 'a new album by Steven Wilson' is generally enough to send most of you on here running for cover <laugh> but The Harmony Codex is - how you say, different! Literally, every track is in a different genre - sometimes in the same song!
This one has been described as the bsstard child of Massive Attack and Fine Young Criminals....

It's shaping up to be a busy week. Was at The 100 Club on Sunday for the last night of the last tour by the UK Subs. There will be one off performances at festivals and the like...for despite his energetic and excellent performances, Charlie Harper is 79.

Tomorrow's The Undertones @ The Electric Ballroom.

I have 2 spares for The Pretenders at the same venue on the 19th October, at face value, if anyone's interested...

All of this is having to be done sans alcohol, as I've got fatty liver disease and haemocromatosis, which means no booze for an extended period....

Ii find myself not always in agreement with the just stop oil tactics but stopping Les Miserables last night gets my full backing, I was dragged to see it at the cinema once I hated every minute , most entertaining part was when an old dear choked on some popcorn as she was wailing along with it
