Our owners could be a lot worse than SR. Could be this twat. Dejphon Chansiri: Sheffield Wednesday owner says he will stop funding club after 'insults' - BBC Sport
Listening to the Sholing match on the radio...Ex Saints, Jake Hesketh and Lloyd Isgrove are playing for the Boatmen.
There are two sides to every story in this, but regardless of this, Sheffield Wednesday, being one of the bigger clubs at both League 1 and Championship should be doing better. Given the size of their fanbase alone, they should be in the Top 3, but as with other clubs of a similar stature, Wednesday have been badly managed for decades.
It just couldn't happen to a nicer club!!! As for Beale, perhaps this was not the right club to take on in his career development so let's wish him all the best. As for Rangers, if they cannot reel in a Rodgers-inspried Celtic, it will speak volumes as to their standing.
We moan about Sports Republic, but even owners who have delivered the first league title to Napoli for 34 years don't get it and treat their fans and players badly: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66981431

Euro 2028 coming to UK & Ireland - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67003581 Kind of feel like we could have hosted this ourselves? Shame we dropped out the WC for this too.
Seems quite far away for host nations? Okay Rome to Istanbul probably not too far but Turin or Milan to a central or eastern Turkish City must be a good 3/4 hour flight.
Apparently Spain and Portugal are bidding for the 2030 World Cup, with Ukraine as a honorary 3rd host. It's all getting a bit daft really. And I heard Egypt-Saudi-Greece is another one. Bit weird but I guess smaller countries wouldnt get the chance otherwise.
I thought Morocco were involved in the Spain one too? But yeah including Ukraine is mental for loads of practical reasons even ignoring the doubt that the country will even be rebuilt by 2030. And yeah I think the era of single WC hosts is largely done now they've moved to 48 teams. Only a handful of countries in the world with the infrastructure to support that. Wouldn't surprise me if Saudi was given one mind. I don't mind joint host nations but it should be kept within a relatively small footprint though such as Poland/Ukraine and Netherlands/Belgium. The US/Canada/Mexico one is just as bad tbh. The SE Asian bid for 2034 has five nations in it which is insane lol.
UK and Ireland is going to be five countries, and that's for a 24-nation tournament. I think Morocco are bidding for the WC by themselves. Can't remember exactly.
Yeah and that's insane too. Would have been better just to have a Wales/Scotland/Ireland one and us bid on our own.
